Was looking for a 10 foot cable to run my dash camera in my car and found this at Overstocked.com. Could not beat the price. I was worried that it would not be a quality product for such a low price but after using it for several weeks I can honestly say it seems to be be every bit as good as the more expensive cables I had looked to purchase. I also received in just 3-4 days in good packaging. I would certainly recommend this to others.
These cables are finally long enough to use your phone, tablet, ipod, whatever while it's charging. I didn't give it 5 stars because I've bought several of these at a time, and sometimes one of them will only last a couple of weeks and then the charging part gets loose, or the part that plugs into the unit itself comes loose - maybe not glued in properly? So 3 out of 4 will work fine, and then you get that one that doesn't. Not such good qualify control, but I have multiple devices and for the price, I guess I don't mind if one of them dies within a few weeks. You just have to be careful removing the plugs as they are not that securely anchored. If you yank on it without squeezing the sides to release it, it will break. so they maybe need a little more TLC than an ****** *** would, but for the price you can buy four of these instead of one ****** cord. And the length is a big plus.
Does what it basically is supposed to. The only potential problem might be the power to the 2-1/2" IDE drive through the USB connector when connected to computers that really provide only the power of the USB specification -- to my understanding cable set doesn't support external power for this type drive. I have an in-line adapter socket that brings out the power on leads with a standard small-footprint, 4-pin power connector. If you have many uninstalled disks with various interfaces, this is the "cat's meow". Be sure to take care of static when handling the bare drives. i'm very satisfied.
