I recently purchased this surge protector due to length that was needed to reach the outlet, and to be discreet so it would not be seen as much. It was used upon our mantle, and while sitting on the couch looking up at an angle, it is barely noticeable. The guarantee that comes with it, is hands down better than anything else i researched. The fact the company stands behind their products and is willing to pay for any damages that might occur if they aren't protected properly is just fantastic. Tripp Lite knows customer service. Thanks for a great product.
The problem we all have is that everything that hooks to the computer is USB and there is never enough ports, and it include a toggle switch for on/off. This product helps greatly, even though there are others - they are not this inexpensive....It would be nice if there was a device that handled USB and power on the same strip...
I can't begin to thank Overstock.com enough for helping me with this item. I had excellent customer service and they made sure that my transaction was handled in a very professional manner. This KVM switch works great once the learning curve is learned (for me). My problem was solved with something I found that may help the next customer who is trying to get it to locate the monitors that are being used with it. I am using Windows 7 and have a computer monitor and a TV monitor connected to the KVM switch. It found the computer monitor without any problems, but the TV monitor screen was blank. I went to "device manager" (it can be found by using the "search" feature in Windows 7). Scroll down alphabetically and select "Monitors" (highlight it or click the "+" in front of "Monitors"). Then go back to the top of the screen and LEFT click on "Action" and from the drop-down menu select "Scan for hardware changes." This found my missing 2nd monitor (for my TV). If that doesn't work, keep repeating it and sometimes it will finally find it. Also, make sure that your program for monitors shows "duplicate desktop" in what you are wanting to do with the 2nd monitor. I wish I could have found this information before my hours and hours of searching for a solution, but I'm hoping it will help anyone else who this might be their solution. I really enjoy the features of switching between computers and having only one mouse and one keyboard to handle all of it. (Chase)
