I only noticed after I bought it that Overstock seems to have the same thing in the same color available for a dollar less in a different listing that mentions only purple in the title but has a drop down for a whole range of colors, which is a bit puzzling. Anyway, it's an excellent value, and I'm very happy with it. The earlier reviewers complaint about the color actually encouraged me. I think it looks classier in the shade it is rather than in a brighter aqua, as it appears on the site if I tilt my screen a certain way. I would have bought the $40 real leather one on Amazon but did not like any of the colors as well as I like this blue. It fits the Kindle Paperwhite very well and turns it on and off as you open and close the cover. I don't know how that works and wasn't expecting it at this price, but it functions great, and it provides scratch protection and a little padding in case I drop it. It's light weight and comfortable to hold. I would say that the open pocket on the inside would not be a suitable place to carry valuables such as money, credit cards or a passport. They would fit, but there's nothing to keep them in if you happened to turn it upside down. A slight adjustment to the design, making the sleeve open only toward the spine, would improve that. Still, if you have things in there they could scratch the Kindle and they would also add weight, so I probably wouldn't use a pocket in there anyway. If you really want to carry something small and flat in it, you could slip them behind the Kindle, but then they would be a little harder to get out. I can't say for sure, but it's also possible that the magnet that holds this closed might damage a credit card - just one more thing to think about before using it as a purse. Overall verdict: Go for it - I'm glad I did.
