This Asus PB278Q 27" LED LCD Monitor is a great budget pick for anyone wanting a decent monitor for professional photography work. The color is great and I would say better than an NEC with a few years in it. Takes calibrations well. The problem with this is the sleep or standby sensor somehow doesn't detect when my 2012 17" macbook pro wakes up from sleep and won't come back on. This results in a very unpredictable pushing of the input button trying to get the laptop to see the display. Very annoying! Almost unacceptable actually. I've thought of throwing it out the window because of this problem. ASUS corresponded with me about the issue and said to RMA it. LOL. Cheap monitor problems.
I purchased this item on Black Friday (2017) directly from Samsung at a discount, because I had terrible service at the opposite ends of my 2-floor home. I had tried range extenders, but they are not effective for Zigbee/Z-Wave automation. When I installed this system, my coverage for both wifi and Z-Wave improved drastically! You configure the router functionality of this system through a mobile app/web page, and the configuration options were not nearly as extensive as the stock firmware on my previous Asus AC1300 router, but everything works. I am concerned about the system's reliance on cloud service from Samsung, but hopefully that won't go away anytime soon.
