  • good light weight projector
    Verified Purchase

I have only viewed the projector once and not in the setting I purchased it for, however the image was excellent and I anticipate that the projector will perform well for the intended use.

  • Excellent... For the price.
    Verified Purchase

For the price, this is an excellent projector and represents an excellent value. I'm a computer reseller and purchased this unit for a customer who need only a "basic" projector. I want one with 1024 x 768 native resolution and I found this one, from Acer, because of the price. HOWEVER, once I set it up and ran all of the tests, I was very impressed. Text and images were crisp and very clear (no fuzziness around the edges). The picture was very bright with a screen size of 5-6 feet. I would have preferred a better zoom that allowed a larger picture when the project was closer to the screen, but that's just a small criticism. In the product reviews, there were comments that the remote didn't have an on/off switch... that's just NOT true. I'll buy this unit again.

  • Great Specifications and Performance, but Rainbow
    Verified Purchase

Bright (almost too bright for a dark room), sharp images, great contrast, and quiet, too. Specifications (brightness, lamp life, contrast,, 3D, noise levels) were all very good. I mounted it on my basement ceiling without any unusual issues (this is my 4th mounting experience). The throw distance is longer than my previous projector, so I had to move my mount about 30 inches further back, and projected on a 100 inch diagonal 4:3 screen. Manual mechanical zoom is only 1.1:1, so don't expect much help there, it is only for fine tuning an already good placement. Check your room depth to ensure you have the distance necessary from your screen. In Eco mode, with High Altitude mode off, I could not hear the projector fan over my computer fan, which is fairly quiet, which was an improvement over my previous Epson Powerlight S1 projector. I selected Eco mode for the lamp to gain the extra 1000 hours of rated lamp life, but also to drop the brightness; I have a dark room, and the projector was too bright otherwise. I have not tried 3D, I don't have the supporting computer configuration. The first unit I received had a loose screw inside, and I returned it for a replacement. My only complaint is the common DLP rainbow effect. I did not know that I was sensitive to it, (I understand many are not). It is not unwatchable, but I do notice it, especially with bright images on dark backgrounds. The lamp did shut itself down once at less than 10 hours of life, and went through a period of flickering, but has seemed to settle down now for the past couple of weeks as it aged. For the price paid, I consider it a great value, and purchased a second to mount for a church meeting room.

  • Probably best price now
    Verified Purchase

Excellent price for an excellent projector. I looked through Newegg to find out what I wanted, but Overstock had a cheaper price on the model I wanted.
