For those of you that don't know - VGA, video - graphics - accelerator is video ONLY. I have one but figured out the video part works fine. For older computers you need a 3.5mm Male jack converted to rca jacks for audio. This 3.5mm Male jack plugs into your speaker output on your computer to your input jack on your T.V. This layout has worked great for me. Why they put A/V/ jacks on a VGA is confusing to me considering VGA is video only. Maybe with newer computers this is possible but I'm not going to spend $600.00 or more on a new computer to find out. I hope this helps those in need.
Why would you run to Best Buy or Apple and pay four or five times the price for this same adapter. It works as advertised, it gets mailed quickly. I now buy all my computer accessories from Overstock. How easy and simple is that?
This cable is half the cost and works as advertised. Don't pay extra for an accessory just because it has "i" in front of the name. Retractable cord is a plus if you are swimming in cords like me.
