The yarn has a smooth hand and is durable. I bought the orange, which is only shown in the tiny swatch which is Photo-shopped. It's something which seems to be done with the reds. Also, the swatch is rather misrepresentive because it looks as if the contrast colors have the same approximate depth, or darkness, as the main color, and some colors (e.g. purple, mint green) aren't even shown. It IS a nice yarn, but you may have to re-think what you were planning on using it for.
The colors are beautiful & vivid, but much darker than what's pictured. There's very bright light reflected to make those colors. It has a soft, silky hand [although it's acrylic] This is a single yarn: it's 1-ply, but it has no spin, so as soon as you try to use it, it shreds. (Often, single yarns are more than one or two ply twisted together, so it's much more durable & it stretches, unlike this.) You have to handle it very gently without using any tension, and combine it with other yarns.) I'm still figuring out what I'm going to combine with it, before I tear any more, but I hope ultimately I'll be able to make something beautiful with it. It's a disappointment; but I also have a number of other things I wasn't sure how I'd use because of their vivid coloring, and this may work out very well. I like a challenge, but let the buyer beware.
