These are highly rated paints. You can get them in your area for about the same price, but why fight with crowds and waste gast. I bought a whole bunch and I'm having a great time creating Christmas cards.
So this is the first time i have used any form of 2 part epoxy and i must say i am thrilled! i have had the chance to compare it to other forms of resin and it may not become *as* hard as others but it in no way is this stuff soft. other resins can come out like glass but EasyCast will always feel like plastic. I don't mind this plastic feel at all and since other resins that cure harder tend to smell so strong you need a chemical mask to use them i will be sticking with the nearly odorless EasyCast. It cured crystal clear! the bubbles were easy to pop and rose to the surface easily. i was worried i wouldn't be able to use it in time (you should only buy what you can use in 6 months of opening or a little longer if unopened) but this is so easy to use i just couldn't stop. i think next time i buy i will be getting at least 2 packs.
it has a 1:1 mix ratio so its easier to mix than some other types but be warned if you are off on measurements even by a little it will either not get hard and feel rubbery or will stay sticky so measure well and mix extra well! its a good idea to get plastic measuring cups just for mixing resin in. medicine measuring cups work well.
*DO NOT* wear nice clothing when using it and *ALWAYS* wear gloves. its a pain to get off hands and can't be taken out of clothing.
fantastic product, i think i have the whole collectionnow. They can be used in so many ways. I use them to make cards and use a water brush with either water or chalk enhancer and I can achieve rich, deep color with these. they also blend very well and the chalk stays put.
Okay, this is a trip to my childhood. My mom used these when I was young and together we decorated items that I still have today. I wanted to share this with my kids and together we have had a blast! The smell of the paints takes me back to being eight years old. They are easy to use and difficult to mess up with. You can decorate anything with them. The paint quality and brightness last for (by my count over 35 years). A fun activity that will give you immediate satisfaction. Remember to store the paints standing up and splurge and get the paint protectors....you will thank me later. Have a great time decorating items that will last!
Just love the bright basic I-Kan'dee chalks.....they are truly bright, and look great on cardstock when making great looking cards....I,personally, like this chalk because I don't get it all over me, like I used to with the short hand-held chalk..:) it isn't that I mind getting my hands dirty, but, I don't like to smear the cards, and with this style, I really don't smear the chalk on the cards..much easier to use. So far, I have all the chalks that I Kan'dee makes, and I love all of them. Great product. Thank you.
These are great to learn with and you will have a learning curve. Use gloves. Protect the area and have ventilation. Don't overdo it...or your inks will dry up...you'll use them too quickly . Watch youtube for instruction.
I do still have another set with the plain little round sponge and it does a great job on certain aspects too...but I really liked the effects I could get out of using these...and for a beginner you really appreciate anything you can do with little stress and great results
I use Bristol Board mostly for use w/markers or pens--its smooth surface makes it easy to draw lines--it comes in a variety of sizes--acid free--can be an inexpensive buy w/20 sheets in the 9"x12" size, If you create pics from writing implement to paper---you have a few extra sheets to have compared to other brands that are more expensive w/less sheets. Overall it fits my needs w/a price I can afford.
Decided to take an oil painting class and this was on the list. We used it for practice, cutting it in smaller pieces for fast painting exercise. Worked perfectly. It will also be good for actual "real" paintings but you'll need a support behind it.
OK, so somehow I was totally not wanting a pan pastel tray. I wanted the pan pastels. I must've been in LaLaLand when I checked on Overstock the day I ordered this thing. I should return it, but I'm lazy. I'll hang on to it and maybe order an actual pan pastel color now and then to fill it up. Than could take years! Ah well...'tis what I get for browsing for something cheap to buy after midnight.
Purchased for lining paint palette for acrylic paper. It does a good job in keeping the palette clean. I suggest placing a damp paper towel or felt beneath the paper to keep the acrylic paint from drying too quickly.
I am loving having this fine tip applicator for applying glue! I am a little heavy handed placing glue and this allows me to apply just the right amount. Also I am able to get the tip into nooks and crannies that a regular tip won't get to. Currently I have Art Glitter Glue in my bottle and it flows out of the tip great. I would recommend this product to my crafty friends. :)
I absolutely love this product! Speedball's pen cleaner worked wonders on my art pens and a fountain pen that had dried. My fountain pen's plunger reservoir was completely dried and filled with flakes of paint, and I didn't want to throw the piece away. I filled the plunger with just a little of the cleaner, let it soak over night, and voila! This product isn't harsh-- doesn't tarnish metal or warp plastic-- yet cleans perfectly. The holes in nibs can be difficult to clean, but a drop of this cleaner gets it spic and span. There is never any residue or film left behind in your pen, so your next refill of ink will not be tainted. Just remember to rinse off the cleaner, just in case, as the bottle specifies. Also, there is no harsh odor, like some pen cleaners.
It is hard to find in large sizes in local stores. My stores only sell small quantities, and the prices in a store are unreasonable. Overstock, however, provides a wonderful value with fast shipping!
