I purchased this Sewing machine for my 10 year old granddaughter. She is very creative and she loves crafts. The sewing machine is just the right size, easy to store and is very easy for her to sew. The perfect sewing machine for a beginner seamstress.
I purchased this sewing machine since it sews and does embroidery. It has a fair price as well. I owned a Futura machine and the laptop used to do embroidery was dropped and the screen damaged. You cannot update the Futura with newer operating systems and Singer offered no fixes. This machine takes a few times to get used too. I did several test embroidery works to get the tension and sewing area correct. The push LED screen is nice as it lets you move the sewing starting point for what you are embroidering. Unfortunately there is only few designs available on the machine. You have to purchase downloads and send them to a laptop or design cards. Both can be expensive and your choices are great with these options if you can afford them. You should have some experience at sewing before using this machine. Once you have used it and tested it, it will work fine. The needle threader works great and makes that step simpler. The only thing it needs is an expanded hoop sewing area. You can purchase a longer hoop but you must move the hoop to continue embroidering as the machine cannot be programmed that you have a longer hoop and more space. The best machine is 5K from Brother. So in general, small embroidering works good and can be done, but larger panels take time as you have to re-hoop the material to the next area, I haven't used the sewing part as I use a Brother machine I'm comfortable with to do general sewing.
Love this fusible featherweight interfacing. I have been using it for years to make T-Shirt quilts and vintage handkerchief quilts. easy to Iron and sew. Great price. love stocking up on it.
