The case is constructed very well. It is not all Aluminum - but rather that is the trim. The case its self is a sturdy textured plastic type material but it does not look or feel cheap. The blue color is vibrant and will make the case stand out and be very difficult for anyone to walk off with! The inside of the case is a padded , slightly rubberized material. The one draw back is the fact that it does not come with any type of internal storage organization system. I believe Copic expects you to purchase empty plastic marker boxes or use the ones they sell their 12 count and higher sets in. If you put a Copic plastic case standing up inside and close the case they do not move at all. I found a custom made insert that fits perfectly that will store all my markers - so it is easy to make the case work exactly the way you prefer. I love how secure the latches are - no chance of them popping open plus you can even lock them. The shoulder strap makes it easy to transport and keep your hands free. I would recommend this case to anyone needing a storage solution for their Copic markers.
Copic markers being refillable is a big selling point. A new marker can cost $5 - $10 depending on store, sale and coupons. With this one refill - i can avoid buying a new marker and can instead easily refill mine. You might wonder how much ink does it take to refill a Copic marker? It depends on the marker : Wide markers require 4-5 cc’s , or 5-7 refills per bottle. Copic Original markers use 3-4 cc’s, or 8-10 refills per bottle. Sketch markers use 2-3 cc’s, or 10-12 refills per bottle. Ciao markers use 2 cc’s, or 12 refills per bottle.
