The tweezers have a sharp point, which is good. You need a sharp point to dig out splinters buried beneath the skin where the end of the splinter is not sticking out, and you are unable to just easily pull on the end of the splinter. "Splinter-out" disposable scalpels are helpful for this purpose too. Tweezers with a dull point make it easier to pull-out an easy splinter with the end sticking-out, which does not break in half when you pull it out. But then with such an easy splinter; these sharp pointed ones work successfully removing such a splinter too. Dull pointed tweezers are unable to remove a splinter buried beneath the skin without an end accessible. So, you have to have sharp pointed tweezers like these.
