Every knitter or crochet person should get this kit. It is good quality and works well. I purchased additional T-pins at the fabric store as I like to have more at hand.
I bought these after seeing all the Pom-Pom crafts on Pinterest at Christmastime. I've started two different wreaths with them -- one for Christmas and one for Valentine's Day -- but I haven't finished one yet. The jumbo size takes A LOT of yarn, about half of a skein per Pom-Pom. They turn out darling, though, so I think it's worth it. I've seen the tutorials on making your own Pom-Pom makers out of cardboard or forks, but I think you really get your money's worth with these little tools. They just make it so easy. It's just the yarn that's going to be expensive -- and I'm just using some cheap, acrylic stuff! Overall, I would recommend these to anyone who wants to make Pom-Poms, and I have to imagine that's pretty much everybody ever.
Saw someone talking about these on Ravelry.com and had to check them out. Glad I got them. Blocked a scarf and a lace wrap. The long blocking wires made it very easy to get long clean lines. Customer service here at Overstock.com is great. They really take care of you.
I got this ball winder to help me wind yarn that I had been sent by a customer, and the yarn was in hanks, make sure that you get a swift to hold the yarn because it makes winding a one person job when you have both of these items, In a very short amount of time I was able to wind all 22 hanks, I have been knitting with the balls of yarn I wound and they pull very nicely and no tangles so far. I like the fact that there is no assembling, just clamp it and away you go.
