These are to say the least decent . However if you sew a lot , you will need to sharpen them pretty quick as they seem to dull easy ! They are light !

I use Gingher whenever possible due to the high quality and longevity. My sewing has usually consisted of medium weight fabrics, or knits that I serged so when reading some blogs about sewing on couture fabrics that can really fray, this type of scissor was mentioned many times. (I finally indulged 5 years or so in their beautiful seam ripper, and their regular dressmaker sheers.) Since now that I have undertaken some bridal fashions using satins, silks and fabrics that tend to ravel a lot and are also "slippery" fabrics, these micro-serrated are fantastic to cut with. Also a great idea that they are rounded at the tips to avoid accidentally catching a pointed scissor in the fabric and causing a nick or pull in the threads. I have their regular pinking shears that cut beautifully, but this micro-serration is virtually undetectable on the cut fabric edge; just enough to help with the fraying.
