I bought this to sew for my forthcoming first grandchild. I am extremely pleased with the quilt. The threads are ready sorted, colourful and of good quality. The actual design is lovely and will be wonderful when finished. A note of caution, there is an awful lot of work involved and ensure you order in good time to complete your quilt. There are cross, stem, stab stitches and french knots involved, but there are clear instructions included. I am very happy with this quilt, it is the nicest I have seen.
I ordered these kit towels to make cafe curtains because they kinda mimic that " French grain sack stripe" look, which I LOVE. Can't beat the price to make such cute little curtains.
By luck this machine survived the worst shipping job ever. Basically, this machine is sturdy and still functions as it should. Arrived upside down, inside a too big box with the remains of what was once a Styrofoam shipper case sized to a much smaller box. It took a lot of spraying with an compressed air can to get most of the material out of the machine. The first 4 test runs had more Styrofoam coming out. But this sewing machine survived and works like a champ! I was surprised. I've shopped from Overstock often and this was the worst I have ever received. In fact, I have never questioned their great packing in the past. Look for online tutorials from Burley Sew on YouTube to get you going. Kamala Embroidery blog also is a big help. The embroidery is easy to use once you practice a bit following Burley Sew's advise. The installed embroidery fonts are good basics and include the range of letters so I can even do french phrases. The machine is limited to the 4 inch frame but hasn't been an issue for me. Has a set of monograms included and some picture embroidery patterns. For other designs, the importing is easy with a laptop.
