I have embroidered / cross stitched many of the Jack Dempsey quilt tops, especially the baby ones. These are always printed clearly and are nicely laid out so they are not too busy. I love the material they are made of, it is solid and consistant in quality. I have this one nearly done and look forward to making it into a throw blanket for my newly decorated sewing room.
I have ordered before, am satisfied with the blocks. The fabric they are stamped on is flimsy, I always back it with another layer, and embroider through both layers.
white material is thin, low thread count. Best results achieved when white flannel is used as a backing layer before embroidery. With flannel backing the raw ends of threads are not visible on the finished side and gives the square weight/body. Makes a really cute baby quilt when squares are joined with sashing. Easy project, fun to work.
