I have done crewel kits for many years and this was the best ever. All the threads were marked and secured on a board which kept it easy to find and neat. It was a beautiful well done kit.
white material is thin, low thread count. Best results achieved when white flannel is used as a backing layer before embroidery. With flannel backing the raw ends of threads are not visible on the finished side and gives the square weight/body. Makes a really cute baby quilt when squares are joined with sashing. Easy project, fun to work.
