Works REALLY well with all my metal die cuts. One item of note: This is my second one because I screwed up my first one and I can tell you that it's just the least bit thinner than my first one. I ended up needing to pad it a little more to get a good die cut with the sizzlets. I use a Sizzix Big Kick.
I believe the BIG SHOT die cutting machine is an excellent tool for scrapbooking and cardmaking. It works easily, does a great job of die cutting and also works with embossing folders. I have tried other die cutting machines but this is my first choice for a die cutting machine.
The machine is sturdy and having used it a few times I am pleased with the results. However I would like a more informative guide book to be included. I am using it for die cutting and having visited some blogs I see I am not the only one that was so concerned about the damage appearing on the plates as I used them. Apparently this is normal and the plates only last a certain amount of cuts, so know that you will be replacing them at some point. Have bought some more dies so will keep playing with the machine, like I said good results. Did find it difficult to hold the plates together and turn the handle without things moving, felt like I needed 3 hands. But all in all I like it and am happy I finally made the investment, although I do think they are slightly too pricey to not come with at least 1 die and 1 embossing folder.
