I'm only scratching the surface of what this machine can do, but I'm enjoying it already! There is a learning curve, but there are a lot of great tutorials on YouTube. I have cut vinyl for ornaments, fabric for an applique and small project, and paper for other crafts. The on-line program allowed me to cut the images I wanted without needing a specific die.
After reading reviews and looking at the differences in all the die cutting machines that run on electricity, I decided on the Vagabond 2 and I have been very happy with it. Overstock had the best price by far and I am glad I purchased it here.
I have wanted a Sizzix for sometime now and I must say it was worth the wait. cuts like a hot knife in butter all kinds of material I was able to cut magnets with this wonderful machine. I recommend this to anyone.
The machine is sturdy and having used it a few times I am pleased with the results. However I would like a more informative guide book to be included. I am using it for die cutting and having visited some blogs I see I am not the only one that was so concerned about the damage appearing on the plates as I used them. Apparently this is normal and the plates only last a certain amount of cuts, so know that you will be replacing them at some point. Have bought some more dies so will keep playing with the machine, like I said good results. Did find it difficult to hold the plates together and turn the handle without things moving, felt like I needed 3 hands. But all in all I like it and am happy I finally made the investment, although I do think they are slightly too pricey to not come with at least 1 die and 1 embossing folder.
