Love the Dimensions Stamped Cross Stitch Sets. they always contain everything you need to get started. I highly recommend the product and with purchasing through Overstock it''s so very affordable. Once I've finished the cross stitch all I'll need to do is purchase some fabric to cover the back and stitch it on. All the directions, thread and completion requirements are included. Happy cross stitching.
The product was delivered timely and in good condition. However several colors of floss were short the amount needed to complete the stocking. I ended up having to purchase additional floss as well as use floss in my collection in order to finish the stocking. I have been cross stitching for over 25 years and this is the first product that was woefully short in several color areas. Some colors there was more than enough but at least 6 colors were short the required amount. I'm not sure I would purchase from this company again.
This needlepoint piece is truly a counted cross-stitch with the design NOT pre-printed on it. I had to purchase a magnifying glass and a new light to be able to count where the stitches go. The design is really cute and the materials arrived exactly as stated.
This is a really solid frame for cross-stitch or embroidery. There is room for improvement, however, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Several of the knobs that attach the pieces together aren't threaded straight so they go on at an angle and therefore don't hold the frame together as tight as I would like it. I use American Dream frames otherwise and haven't had this problem before so hope it is a one-off; I was able to swap the other scroll rods out with no problem and am using this as a 36" table frame now. The attachment knobs, dowels as scroll rods, and frame pieces are all different colors which don't affect the functionality, just the appearance. The frame pieces are very solid and well constructed. As always, the velcro attachment system with the American Dream products applies easily and permanently to your projects. My biggest gripe with this frame is I have to keep a screwdriver with it so I can tighten the frame in place at an angle I like it, otherwise, it keeps flopping around and making it really fiddly to work with. Trying to tighten it by hand doesn't help, as the screw just turns endlessly, so you have to be able to hold it in place. Eventually it does work loose, even with minimal fuss -- I stitch with my right hand below the fabric and my left above, so I don't knock the frame a lot and I stitch on a table, so it doesn't get moved often either -- and I still need to retighten again at the angle I like several times during a stitching session. I wish there was a nut or something I could hold that would make it so I didn't have to keep a screwdriver in my stitching kit or that the screws would hold better in the knobs...or maybe that the knobs weren't cross-threaded so they would hold better. Not sure which is causing the problem but it does exist, though it isn't fatal to the design or function just more of an annoyance. Overall, much nicer than using a hoop or having to hold a scroll frame by hand. I couldn't find anywhere, even with coupons, that could beat Overstock's price at the time I ordered, so I'm still pleased with my purchase.
