I've been crocheting for 15 years. I've tried every brand....I prefer a Boye shaped hook-- which these are. (Susan Bates just never really worked out well for me.) Anyway, these Tulip hooks are kinda pricey if you buy a set, so I've just been buying them as I've needed them. I pretty much only just G, H, I, J hooks anyway. (They're sold in metric sizes, so be sure to check. Basically, if you're like me-- you'll want the 4mm/4.5mm/5mm/5.5mm and possibly the 6mm. Hope this helps.
Very happy with the crochet hook sets I ordered. They were brand named; high quality. They were packaged in a larger box which prevented damage from delivery handling. Will definitely consider ordering the same hooks again.
The selection for crochet hooks on overstock.com was wonderful. I had so many brands and packs to choose from. I was thrilled with the shipping time, and the cost was so reasonable. Will be using overstock.com again!
These hooks are very light compared to the metal ones. The design is smooth enough that it easily passes through yarn and you can use them as Tunisian afghan hooks. Just add cord and button to the end. Very versatile. I've aggressively crocheted with the J hook and have yet to break it.
