I bought three of these vintage style drafting tables for an industrial-style drafting room. My employees sit on modern office chairs as opposed to drafting stools, so the height is right for them to use these tables as a layout space. If they were sitting on drafting stools the tables would be too low. I bought them mainly for looks and am very happy with the nice wood finish, the industrial style detailing, and the great price.
Perfect for home use as I had taken up an architectural drafting class for Interior Design and great. Only issue is the sliding bar is not absolutely even horizontally. You have to adjust each side. And it doesn't sit flush to board. But it did slide easily and had different angles (of recline?) for comfortable use as I would use it as vertically positioned on a table to get close to the work. Saves my back from constant bending
I put this desk together with-in an hour. If I could change anything I would have the ft. wheels back about 2-3 inches. but then it may not be balance then. I move it around my small room and have ran over my toes a couple of times lol. I replaced my old wooden draft desk because it was to big. I have an 8x10 craft room. with wall to wall shelving around the walls. Yes I have that much stuff. multi media crafts. This desk I can roll around with ease. its great for my scrapbooking layouts, and other creations. Good value Very Sturdy. the blk holders on the side are a little small for my junk, but the plastic drawers once put together work well. nice.
