The jacket I received was indeed a black, Adolfo corduroy jacket. It was not, however, what I expected. For one thing it has a higher wale-count (the cords per inch) than the picture would lend one to believe, giving it the appearance of velvet from a distance. It also has patches on the elbows, unlike the photos on the site. For some that might be a problem, I found it to be an unexpected benefit. The lapels are narrower in real life than in the photos, as well, the button stance is higher. Finally, MY jacket, at least, has an elegant paisley lining that I did not see in the photos. In short, I ordered what I thought to be simply a workaday, no frills corduroy sport coat and received a sophisticated, versatile piece that is nonetheless practical. In closing, Overstock might want to update the product image on the site.
