I just received these boots in the mail today and I am ecstatic! They are exactly as pictured and even nicer than I imagined. I am a true 8, but always order and 8.5 in boots because I like the extra toe room and to ensure the shoe doesn't rub the backs of my heels because I have very flexible ankles from dancing. I also very large calves from dancing, about 16 inches at their largest point, and sometimes have trouble with high cut boots being too tight around them. Not with these boots! The taupe color is true to it's description, a grayish medium brown. Also, they are lined with a thin layer of soft cotton, which makes them even more warm and comfortable. Overall, I am incredibly pleased with these boots and would recommend them to everyone. I will update this post if I end up having any problems with them.

Fits big, size down by 1/2 inch

This boot is perfect. Just what I was looking for in a Black " Riding " boot. True to size, warm lining, great looking and most of comfortable. I think I could have ordered a half size down but I still love them! I have 17 inch calves and these are 19 inches when you order extra wide calf! They fit great with room to spare! I will definitely buy more colors next winter.

I bought a pair for myself and a pair for my daughter. We both love them! So comfortable and cozy with the lined interior. They are a true favorite!

Great boots, comfy and wonderful color. Just an inch or two too tall for my short legs and the calf is way too wide even for my giant calfs.

I'm always apprehensive when buying tall boots even when they say they are for whidecalfs. These boots did not disappoint. My calf measures 16 1/2 inches around and I bought the size 10 boots and I was still able to stick my hand down the side of the boot while wearing it. I probably could've gone down a half-size but you can adjust the top strap. The bottom strap you need to snap a thread holding the tongue & buckle together but after that you can tighten the bottom strap too. They are very comfortable to wear all day long.

These boots are very comfortable and a fashion statement with the red zipper in the back of the boot. I got the black. I wear a size 9 and they have a nice enough extra touch of room for a warm sock if desired. I am also 5'4" and the top of the boot shaft comes to the top of my knee cap. And the wide calf fits my chunkier legs. I feel great in them. I'm so glad they worked out well. I was worried about ordering on line because any shoe or boot can run large or small, but they are pretty true to size. Very happy with this purchase!

These boots are good fashion boots. I can't speak on how they hold up to rain or snow because it's only August. A lot of the other reviews complained about the boots being too wide in the calf. I have very small calves 13", and I ordered the regular calf width boots which have a 15" girth. So they aren't tight around my leg at all, which is what I prefer. I also noticed some people were unhappy with the zipper. I think the zipper is just there for decoration y'all...hence the wider calf. I just slide them on and off, and I don't even touch the zipper. Another issue I noticed people were having was with the height of the boots. I'm 5'1" and the boots hit the middle on my kneecap. This is not an issue for me, but if you want a shorter boot, and you are short, this isn't a good choice. The boots are a little roomy. I have very narrow feet, but I've noticed that they don't slide around as much if I wear thicker socks. My only complaint about these boots is that the vegan leather wears down super fast. I worse them out once, and I noticed the leather had already scuffed and started to peel on the inner corner of the toe box. I just covered it up with matte black nail polish, and now you can't even notice it. Overall, this is a fun fashion boot. If you're looking for something to wear daily though, you might want to find something a little sturdier.

I love the design of the boots, however, when the boots arrived, they were too big. The shoe part itself runs big and while I do have wide calf muscle, they wide calf was too wide for me. I wish it would have worked out for me, because I really did love they way they looked. That being said, the quality of the boots were on point. Just order a half size down from the size you normally wear and be aware that wide calf is a really wide calf.

I got these boots in a size 8 because my usual size 7.5 was out of stock. The boot still fits nice and I can wear thicker socks with them. I ordered the taupe color and they are really nice. Taupe seems to be the new black. They go with everything and I love the studs that go all the way up the zipper. They are comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was the way they were packaged. These boots come folded in half in the box. So you have to stuff the shaft with newspaper for a couple of days so they can be upright. I 've noticed that all the Journee Collection boots or the Reneeze collection boots from Overstock come this same way. I would change the packaging. I've ordered 4 pairs this past month and they all came this way. Otherwise I would recommend these boots to friends and co-workers.

These boots are well made and run true to size. They can be worn with a dressy outfit or casual, zips up the back and these have the wide calf which is very roomy.

I love these boots! Ordered XXW wide calf because my calves my calves are 17 inches around. I’m short, five foot four inches tall and two hundred fifteen lbs. I’ve got room for leggings inside.and they don’t look like I’m going to choke. I can slip them on without undoing the zipper too. I wear orthotics inside them too. It’s the fit and style I need. This boot is very stylish. I got lots of compliments. No one had seen a boot with a red zipper down the back. I purchased these boots due to the red zipper. They are easy to wear and easy to put on. I love to purchase things that are different. It fits perfectly. I wear them to church and to social functions. I just love them. These are the best boots I have ever purchased. I have a hard time finding boots that fit, and a lot of wide calf boots have a huge elastic strip that screams "I can't fit into regular boots." I hate that. These boots are made just like regular-calf boots, no large elastic strip, and fit great, giving me that loose, room around the edges feel I am looking for when I wear a tall boot. I don't want a boot that allows no room for jeans and looks too snug. I recommend these to any other gals who want the classic fit of a riding boot and just can't fit into regular ones. My only qualm, I wish they offered them in real leather too so I could have luxury!

comfort, style, and awesome price!! you can't go wrong ,really nice boots and i don't believe in breaking in shoes or boots they have to be comfortable when i put them on and these fit perfect true to size,and i love the style with the buckles and the best part zipper in the back have to have a zipper i have a high instep so i don't do boots unless they have a zipper or buttons easy peasy..thank you Overstock for having these sometimes its hard to find boots just shopping in the stores and here i just ordered online and perfect fit.happy dance for me.
