I've always really liked linen clothes but have been looking even more for linen since moving to Japan, where it's humid. I had hoped to find 100% linen and this was mixed with cotton. But it is very cool, super well-cut and flattering, has an interesting pattern that uses a nice color blue. The cotton probably is used to give it more structure so it does a nice job of being either a casual dress or one that would work as professional or after-work casual cocktail dress too. Very very happy. I was happy with the Overstock search engine. Another big online retailer that starts with an A yields like 22k options when searching for "linen dress" - none of which are linen at all. I don't even bother shopping for clothes there so I was happy to find something quickly on Overstock. It's important to have quality control on the retailers that they correctly title their clothes to match actual materials.
I like the dress for the most part but I haven't decided if I am keeping it. It's the little things: the bodice trim is the wrapped trim stitching and is bright primary green on this soft mint and beige dress. It should have been white. The lining has 1/2" seems and they are sewn so they face outward so they add bulk and show through a little. I don't recall noticing seems facing out on linings but I also am sure none have been 1/2"! Maybe they could be ironed down? I ordered a M and for me, the bottom half of the dress runs a little small.
