Looking for a lightweight, summer dress for an October trip to Hawaii, I came across this tank dress. I am a size 18/20 or 2X. When it arrived, the package was so small I couldn't figure out what it was. When I opened it I thought there must be a mistake. I thought it was a slip. Hesitantly, I tried it on. It slipped right on and hung perfectly. At 5'8", it's the perfect knee-length. It was so comfortable I felt like I was wearing a slip, but I thought it looked great. I stuffed it in my bag to put on after a spa day with some sneakers. Perfect casual dress. I wore it belted with a blazer. Perfect work dress. I wore it with statement jewelry and sandals. The perfect night-out dress. I wore it over my swimsuit. The perfect cover up. I wore it with a top over it. The perfect skirt. I even wore it to bed. The perfect nightgown. If my luggage got lost, I could wear this dress for a week. It washes beautifully. It doesn't wrinkle. It's extremely smalll when rolled up, something you don't find with size 2X clothes, so it takes up very little room in my suitcase. I've not found it to be sheer at all, but rather very dense in color so there's no see-through. It's my MAGIC dress. I've raved about it so much that both my sisters have bought one and they look just as good on them. Btw, I've gotten compliments every time I've worn this dress. I bought black, but I can't wait to order another color.
This dress was not too bad and I will keep it as a coverup for at home only. It is the same polyester type material but not so HUGE, hanging, and sagging to the ground. The other 5 dresses I bought I just had to return and I abhor returning things so that is how illfitting and over priced I felt they were for what they were. Now, I could also say that someone taller, with more chest (at 55 mine is a bit lower), more legs, and rear, shoulders, waist, could carry off the other dresses that I could not. I just looked like a frumpy ole homeless woman, but with a young girl with more body, hair done, nice shoes they all probably look a lot better and they do not return them. So, I definately will say that the other dresses that I did have to return could have been just way too big for me, and also I just could not carry them off. So, there could be a lot of reasons and not any that have to do with Overstock directly is what I am saying after some 25 years in Retail Management with some very large companies.
