I bought this wallet several years ago to replace one that was lifted off me in the Atlanta airport. Another story for another day involving a very nice British woman who gave me $20 (so I could get to my hotel) and told me to pay it forward. But I digress. Since I'm kinda picky about wallets, buying one online without a chance to touch it and check the leather quality and craftsmanship was a concern, but it disappeared the moment I opened the box. This is a beautiful piece of leather, expertly crafted, and the layout suits my needs perfectly. Just enough capacity, but it encourages paring down to what cards and cash you really need. The ID window is on the center flap making it easy to show my drivers license facing the clerk / TSA officer, the backside holds my business cards. 3 pockets on each side hold 2 cards each for a total of 12 - credit cards, corporate cards, debit cards, healthcare cards, 12 slots get used up pretty quickly, but it is enough, and keeps you from carrying a leather and plastic cube in your pocket. The card and bill pockets are silk lined, making card insertion and extraction easy, and the leather trim keeps them in place - overlooked details in many wallets. I made one modification - there is a 1" leather tab with the makers stamp on it that I punched in a small brass eyelet so I could add a 3/4" ring onto which I carry a single housekey, rather than carry it loose. So, 4 years down the line, and a couple leather treatments later, I'd say I'm maybe halfway through this wallets useful life. I would buy another tomorrow, wouldn't even bother to shop around.
My boyfriend needed a new wallet. He had some fancy leather wallet his brother bought for him, so i knew i had high standards to meet. His wallet was too small, you could see the money when it was closed, that's something that should be concealed! I saw the Tony Perotti hipster wallet and i knew it was perfect. I even broke down and had him look at a couple to make sure he would'nt be stuck with a wallet...just because it was a gift from me. So also liked the hipster the best. I checked around the other sites who carried the Tony Perotti wallet and OVERSTOCK was the cheapest by $40!!! I got him a beautiful fine italian wallet for half price! From now on i will check Overstock.com when i'm online shopping! THANK YOU!
