      After going to hours of bread making classes and still coming home to bake bread that just wasn't right, I knew there had to be a better answer. Well this is it. The Laurel's Kitchen Bread Book is the best "how to" book for baking whole grain bread at home. Laurel walks you through a loaf with detailed instructions on the ingredients, mixing, rising, rounding, proofing and baking. If you haven't heard these terms, don't worry, you will be completely familiar with them once you read the book. I have sticky note tabs all over this book marking all the details so I can't mess up.The book gives instruction on by hand method, mixer, food processor and bread machine, so everything is covered. The recipe selections in the book are fantastic. She even gives you specific instructions for differences based on different flours and how it will effect the process of your bread making. You will be able to bake beautiful loaves, rolls, crackers, pita and more. My favorite breads are the buttermilk bread and the honey butter oat. Both keep very well and taste delicious.
