I'm a backyard/container gardner with the typical aggravations of pests nibbling on my efforts, so I picked up this book hoping for some tips and hints. Well, I'm thinking I'm too impatient, because there is quality information inside, however, the warning of NOT planting blackberries and raspberries next to each other, yet NOT saying WHY, really had me scratching my head. Don't tell me I can't do something yet not give an explanation. If I wanted to turn to the internet to answer any questions, I wouldn't have bought the book. Turns out, through research it deals with soil issues.....yeah, whatever, so yes it can be helpful but not to the degree I was hoping for.
