OK movie, not great. Certainly not worth the Oscar. There is a lengthy, drunken punch fest, between the two main characters that adds nothing to the story, which is by the way - slim. I watched this once and can't say I would watch it again. Avatar on the other hand I have seen a half dozen times and will surely watch again. Wait for this one to come on TV.

  • Intense and thought provoking

The Hurt Locker is intense and thought provoking. In the movie (as in life) you never know what is going to happen. I definitely recommend this film!

  • confusing

I enjoyed the movie and it's technical merite, but found it very confusing in who was who.All the actors were very simuliar in facial looks, and voices.Ohter than that is was a very compelling movie(although we disagreed with it winning the Oscar). We chose the Blind Side as a "better" movie.

  • Great pick!

This movie just received an Oscar for Best Picture. Movie is good, a little Hollywood on some of the stuff about Iraq/Afghanistan according to a deployed soldier, but as good of a representation that he's seen!

  • well made

My husband and I disagree but he rated the movie a 4. I would give it a 3 just because I didn't "approve" of the ending. There is no disagreement on how well made the movie is and I would want the director to win the Oscar.
