Tim McCoy stars as Pecos Grant in this 1932 classic Western. When his rambling ways take him through an unfamiliar town, he is surprised to find himself recognized by virtually all the townsfolk--sort of. They all know him as Jim Rawlins, presumed dead for five years, and even Rawlins' wife Helena (Shirley Grey) can't see a difference between the two. Sheriff Lew Collins (Walter Brennan) advises the cowboy to keep up the ruse, so Grant stays on at Helena's ranch, soon exposing a conspiracy against her. Orchestrated by one Utah Becker (Wheeler Oakman), who happens to have been Jim's mortal enemy, a group of Helena's hired hands are stealing her cattle. A climactic face off ensues, and now there's only one thing left to discover: just what is Pecos Grant's true identity?

There's no doubt about my pleasure over this movie, but, of course, I'm a Tim Mc Coy fan. Seeing John Wayne playing second lead to him was quite different. I almost anticipated the Duke to take charge at any moment, but it was all Tim Mc Coy's movie. Check out 39 year old Walter Brennan. They made him up to look like a 60 year old sheriff, also they misspelled his name in the credits. The sound and picture quality of this film are far better than most of these old westerns.

Great family entertainment. I love the older movies and so does my husband and children. The price was great, very reasonable.
