This movie has it all for any film noir fan..I think it set the standard. And to see Edward G Robinson take a suportting role says a lot - it has all that is needed for good film viewing. Barbara Stanwyk and Fred McMurry in great performances. Suspense and intrigue. And the restoration of it is superb.Good extras on the disc set as well.

This is a great movie , but the product discription provided by overstock.com has the two male leads twisted around .. Edward G . Robinson is the farmer , Pete Morgan , and Lon Mc Callister is Nath Storm .. The movie has great drama , music , and errieness to it , and even though it's an old movie , it gets you into the movie , and never lets go. Judith Anderson (Dame ) , Rory Calhoun , and Juie London , all became more popular after this film and all lend good supporting roles too ..

We love this movie! It is so nice to have a rated G movie that the entire family enjoys. The story is clever and has a sweet message, and the soundtrack is great.

This is one of the "all-time great" movies. Tautly scripted, well acted, this minimalist play (with only 17 actors ... but the judge, defendant, alternate jurors, and bailiff do not really count) is one of the best character plays ever created. Henry Fonda, Lee J. Cobb, Martin Balsam, Jack Klugman, Edward Binns, Ed Begley (Sr.), Jack Warden, and E. G. Marshall, all at their prime, do justice to Reginald Rose's plot. This play, set in the early 1960s in New York City, is one that everyone should have in their collection.
