Carol Huber Cypher is a bead and fiber artist who has taught hundreds of students. She is an adjunct faculty member in the fashion program at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. She has appeared on PBS'sBeads, Baubles, and Jewels and is the author of Hand Felted Jewelry and Beads (Interweave). Carol lives in Esopus, New York.

Based on years of teaching experience, this informative handbook presents easy-to-understand instructions with sidebars to help students master beading techniques. Each of the 13 beading techniques are first explained in detail, then further explored with projects to enhance the beader's skills and confidence. The 63 projects included--ranging from bracelets, necklaces, rings, and earrings to findings, closures, beaded beads, and other beaded objects--teach a single project or technique arranged to build skill. Appealing to beaders of every level, this classroom-in-a-book will supplement the information acquired in beading classes, expand confidence in beading techniques, and infuse work with inspiration.

  • Good book for Beaders

This is a good book for Beaders to have in your library. However, for me, a beginner, it was not basic enough. I needed something that focused more on the basic stitch, rather than the completed project. It is a good book, don't get me wrong, I do not regret purchasing it! I will use all the information in the book as I get better at beading! There are many beautiful projects in the book, and it explains the different stitches very well. For me, though, not helpful at this point.

  • Beader's Best Book

I already own this book which I refer to hundred's of times...when I can't remember a detail about a stitch etc. I'm now buying two more copies for two of my favorite bead friends. I KNOW they will love this book as much as I do .
