I bought this as a Father's Day gift for my husband. Him and I watched Lost In Space as kids, and we, along with our sons, (17, 14, and 6) are enjoying them. We laught at the "scary creatures", because compared to today's special effects, the one's in Lost In Space are funny.

  • The Best Season

See how it all begins. This is the more adventurous season. The first five episodes alone covers the liftoff, the sabotage using the robot, the first alien encounter, the crash landing on a strange planet, the chariot crossing a savage sea, the giant cyclops, the extreme heat, the extreme cold and discovering the remnants of a lost civilization. Also in this season see Warren Oats, Micheal Rennie, Waner Klemperer Albert Salmi, Michael Ansari and child actor Kurt Russel. Did I mention an episode where the Robinsons' robot confronts and battles Robbie the robot (Of forbidden Planet fame)? Then there's that cool music, much of which was written by John Williams (Billed as Johnny Williams) FUN STUFF

  • Buy the first season.

This is the complete first season which is no doubt the very best of the three seasons. Filmed in black & white, the series comes well made. It would have been much better had there been some introduction dealing with the history, filming, and/or insight on the people in and around the show. There is, however, a rare promotional advertisement made for the networks to promote the show. If you enjoyed Lost in Space as a child, you'll enjoy the first season. Your children will enjoy it too. I recommend its purchase immediately. It may not be available for much longer as production has stopped.
