  • PERFECT for those Jonesing for Downton Abbey

Script was written by Julian Fellowes, creator of Downton Abbey. The same dynamics, a view above and below stairs in post WWI England, with a murder thrown in. It all takes place on a hunting weekend when the great country house is crowded. Much better character development than Downton Abbey (well, this is an Altman masterpiece, not a well-dressed soap opera). Wonderful performances. Love Clive Owen especially, and Maggie Smith is wonderful.

Seen this picture atleast 15 times and still watch it. This movie is truly a "MUST SEE." It has everything: humor, terrific acting especially Maggie Smith, etc. The old gal still has "IT." Each time I watch this movie, it is like the first time because it is so entertaining and wonderful. I love this movie. You be the judge.......

This movie is a murder mystery set in the countryside of England in the 1930's. Very interesting how life is so different after WWII. Beautiful setting, interesting bonus material, superb acting. A little bit sexy, too.

This movie keeps you guessing. I suspected who the killer might have been, and was right, but still enjoyed the film a lot. It may be a film directed by an American Robert Altman, but the cast was predominently English and they are spectacular.

This was a wildly entertaining who-done-it movie. It reminded me a little of "Murder on the Orient Express". It also reminded my husband and me that we had the board game, Clue, so we got it out and played a few games after viewing the movie. It was really enjoyable.
