Sue Heaser is an internationally renowned polymer clay artist, teacher, and author. She has been working with this unique material for over 25 years and has published eight previous books on the subject, including the best-selling Polymer Clay Techniques Book (F&W). Heaser is chair of the British Polymer Clay Guild and runs her own company, The Polymer Clay Pit, which is the largest supplier of polymer clay products in Europe. She lives in the UK.
The latest in our best-selling Encyclopedia of Art series focuses on one of the most popular and versatile mediums available to crafters. This comprehensive guide offers directions on making decorative boxes, mosaics, and miniature models, as well as beads, buttons, and jewelry. Large, clear photographs demonstrate over 50 techniques, including basic skills such as rolling, color mixing, marbling, and baking; progressing to more challenging methods of shaping, molding, and sculpting clay. A 16-page gallery of work by renowned polymer clay artists demonstrates what can be achieved and provides crafters with inspiration.

This is a good basic cookbook for convection ovens. Great to give a beginner. Soft cover, good print quality. Could use a few more photos.

I am very pleased with this book by Sue Heaser. It has everything you need to know to get started. The instructions are clear and concise. Photographs are clear and helpful to show you exactly what the step you are performing should appear like. I am very happy that there is a section on "other materials", tools and equipment. I wish I had gotten started on using this medium before. This book has everything you wanted to create and many ideas that you had not thought of. My 13 year old nephew and I are going to be creating a lot of things this summer after school is out. Anyone out there hesitating on buying this book - don't. It's for beginners (me) and for advanced artists.
