MELISSA STEWART is the owner of Honeybee Productions, an editorial services company, and has written many celebrated nonfiction books for children. For National Geographic Readers Melissa has written AntsSnakes, and Dolphins.
Did you know that a tiny golf ball-sized creature called the blue-ringed octopus contains enough venom to kill 26 adult humans? Or why the Sydney funnel web spider is one of the most dangerous creatures in the world? In this Level 3 book, kids will be fascinated by 12 species that you hope you'll never come across! Sharks, snakes, jellyfish and more—these creatures are among the most threatening—and interesting—in the world!

    • 9 Year Old Son Loved It!
      Verified Purchase

My son is really into anything about animals, reptiles, etc. The only way I can get him to read is by getting him items such as this. He currently has a subscription to Natl Geo for Kids and this is a great compliment to those magazines. This is not a paperback. It is more like a magazine but the cover is much sturdier than a thin magazine cover.
