Raw Edges, Quilts of Love Series by Sandra D. Bricker A brilliant story about the loss cancer causes. In preparation of her final days Jenna McDonough writes a journal for her daughter Sadie. This treasure is full of words to give peace, inspiration and love, a keepsake that will be treasured forever. Her husband Gary faithfully reads it to her. After the passing of her mother, Sadie and her father receive an invitation to attend an ovarian cancer support group meeting. Gary goes with her because he knows it may help. There they meet a great group of ladies preparing to make a memory quilt. By attending, Gary got more than he could have imagined. There he meets Annabelle Curtis, a cancer survivor, organizing the memory quilt project for the Ovacome support group. Somehow she gets both him and Sadie involved in the project. This story gives hope to the grieving. The author Sandra Bricker will have you laughing out loud, crying and smiling throughout the whole book. I especially loved the journal and the scripture it had, I thought this was a wonderful gift to leave behind for our loved ones. The death of a loved one is hard enough, but to me is even harder when you leave behind young children. This book touches on many painful and joyful things we experience with loss, feelings of grief, raising children as a single parent, moving on in life, and dating. As cancer touches many of our lives this book will give hope and inspiration to the hurting. I highly recommend this book. Sandra D. Bricker touched some tough subjects with sensitivity, grace and integrity. To think a book on such a hard subject could have a blessedly happy ending. I would like to thank the author and publisher for writing and bringing good clean Christian books to readers like me.

Great John O'Hara novel set in the fictional town of Gibbsville, PA dissects the social fabric of the town's upper crust, their ambitions, obsessions, and weaknesses. The story's main character is attorney Joe Chapin and revolves around his life, family, friends, marriage, and political ambitions. There are plenty of other characters, like the town political fixer, that make this a compelling read. Although set mostly in 1945 (written about 1955), the striving for relevance and prestige by some of the characters seems contemporary. My only complaint is how sometimes O'Hara will wander off the main story for several pages, writing about a minor character who disappears and never returns. Nice introduction to the 2014 paperback version by Jonathan Dee. The book was filmed in the late 1950s with Gary Cooper starring as the main character. I've only been able to find it as a poor quality YouTube upload. Perhaps someday a new version of this book will be filmed and released.

These trash bags are an excellent example of why all (or at least the majority) of trash bags can AND should be made in an eco-friendly manner. This important product reduces the carbon foot print on our planet. Of course, recycling and composting as much trash as possible BEFORE needing to use a trash bag is the best way to reduce carbon foot prints. At that point whatever trash is left over still needs a vessel of some sort to allow that trash to be transported away from our home in the most environmentally positive way possible. That is where Re-Claim trash bags comes in to play. If each house hold decided to use even one box of Re-Claim trash bags just think how much of a wonderfully positive impact that would make to our Mother Earth!! I recommend this product. Respectfully, Garie Thomas-Bass (author of the book: Purposeful (Not Random) Acts of Kindness (AKA Beginning Steps for Overcoming Spoiled Brat-aholism) These bags are strong therefore we have no problems with leaking. These bags allow consumers to close the plastic recycling loop.

Gary Larson is one of my favorite comics - ever. He never seems to fail in bringing me a joy-filled afternoon of reading any one of his numerous books. I own about 4 of his books, and am buying 4 more this christmas. I would highly recommend that you buy a Larson book for any relative or friend.
