I've seen bits and pieces of The Band of Brothers HBO series, but not the whole thing...so I've opted to read alittle bit about it. The book has comments from the original soldiers involved, and so far its been informative, interesting, and is mainly...worth reading! I wouldn't consider myself a big History buff/reader, but this is definately good. Towards the end... the book briefly, gives you tidbits to what happened afterwards to some of the soldiers who survived that turbulent war. (I'm not completely finished with the book, but I scanned the ending...its a bad habit.)

  • Fascinating book that provides insight in what it was like to be a paratrooper in WWII with the 101st. Provides additional background to the HBO series of the same name. WWII books don't get any better than this.
