    • Blush Cotton Quilted French Tile Bedspread
      Verified Purchase

I would give the quilt a 5 Star rating, if I hadn't had such difficulty getting it delivered. It took a while to receive a Queen size bedspread when I ordered a King size. Overstock exchanged it, at their expense, but didn't use the 2 day delivery with the King size. Despite the initial problems, I love the this beautiful pale pink ("Blush" as it is called online) bedspread. It is a quality product in sewing, color true to appearance on line and soft to the touch. I am very glad that I purchased it.

      Verified Purchase

I bought this bedspread 3 years ago and it is held up with frequent washings as it is in a guest room. It is a nice color (gold) and fit although I do have a bedskirt under it.

      Verified Purchase

I purchased this coverlet for my mother. She was happy with the color and how soft it was. It's easy to keep clean since it is machine washable. That's a big deal when you have pets in your household.

    • great bedspread
      Verified Purchase

I have looked for a long time for a bedspread for our queen bed. I didn't want a comforter set where a bedskirt was necessary. I wanted a bedspread that covered mattress and box spring and sideboards of the bed frame. This spread fits the bill perfectly. It does not go to the floor because we have an especially high mattress but that's okay with me. It's not too heavy but heavy enough for added warmth in the winter. It will be fine for summer use as well. It is sturdy and well constructed. The pattern even makes it easy to make the bed each day, lining up the edge of the pattern to the edges of the bed. It is well made, pretty, true to the color in the picture on the website, and large enough to generously cover both the bed and the pillows. At last I don't need to have pillow shams to make my bed look finished.

    • Better than Expected
      Verified Purchase

I ordered the King size for my Cal King bed. This spread is huge and just as in the picture, drops down to the floor. It's softer than I expected. I usually buy cotton products only, never polyester, but this bedspread is very soft. Nice purchase.

    • Excellent buy!
      Verified Purchase

I've used this bedspread for months before writing this review. The color came rich and has stayed that way through several washings. I have two cats and a Min Pin, so this had to be durable ... and it is! Withstood several washings without beading or fuzzing. The stitching has held in place. There are no stray strings or exposed sewing threads. Great buy!

    • Better than expected for the price!
      Verified Purchase

This bedspread exceded my expectations! The color is perfect (I got the blue) and the quality is superb. I have a small dog and haven't noticed her nails messing up the stitching so far. I would highly recommend this if you like light bedding that doesn't get hot. I love how it fits on my queen bed as well.

I, too, was looking for a bedspread for a guest room that looked elegant, but was comfortable. I am very happy with the bedspread. I bought the blue spread/full and the sizing is wonderful. I have tried desperately to find the pillow shams pictures with it, but have had no luck!

    • Q:

"I would like to order a king size bedspread in sage. Is this available?"

      • A:

Unfortunately, there is currently no king size sage in stock.

    • Q:

"I would like to order this comforter in sage in queen size. However, there is not an option for that. Is this not available?"

      • A:

I bought the yellow. It isnot bright yellow. It is more like a mustard, wich is what I expected. I loved it. It is oversized, so you do not need a bed skirt. It ia also soft, and the tile pattern is beautiful.

    • Q:

"Hi, Is there a picture of the gold and the butter cream? I am trying to determine which color would work best with my decor. The pictures show more of a beige. Thanks!"

      • A:

Colors are rarely exactly the same on a monitor as they are in person, and a lot depends on the type of lighting that's present in person - daylight, warm fluorescent, cool fluorescent, incandescent, various LED temps, etc. However, I do have 2 of the buttercream spreads and one of the gold, and it's my opinion that the colors that show up on the monitor are a decent representation of how they look in person. If you're having trouble viewing the colors, just go to the "options" pull-down and pick a spread in the color you want to see. The picture will change accordingly. As to your comment about buttercream looking beige - the buttercream actually is kind of a nice neutral beige. It's not the color of butter, but the color of butter that's been whipped to incorporate air, which is much less yellow than solid butter. The gold color is not nearly so neutral as buttercream - so it is IMHO a bit more risky and less versatile choice, although in an appropriate setting it can be wonderful.

      • A:

I purchased the buttercream. It is a neutral cream color. If accented with yellow accents and warm colors that could bring out the hint of "Butter" tone. But, I am using very vibrant teal and rose accents which completely neutralize it. I like the bedspread very much. It is warm!

"Hello, Will someone PLEASE have the picture of the Butter Cream corrected? Last year it was more yellow. A recent reviewer below compared it to French Vanilla ice cream. Now today, another said a warm ivory. Either way it looks beige! I realize monitor resolutions differ. You have 3 slightly different views and none match the picture. Buyers are being incredibly nice with responses. However, they cannot send me a picture like I need from you. PLEASE help! I don't think OS looks any more or as fast when we help one another. Maybe it is really beige or ivory and not Butter Cream at all! :) That would be great, I have a client wanting this in beige as we speak. Thanks"

      • A:

The color is like it's name, a buttery yellow, not taupe as pictured

      • A:

Maybe they changed dye lots or something but I have two of the buttercream spreads and they are definitely more beige than yellow. I like the color and I love the spreads.

Obviously, Overstock does not look at questions. This was sent to me a customer to answer and it is a question for Overstock. All I can say is I have bought three of this quilt. It is beautiful!!! Everyone who see mine (gold) goes on and on about the craftsmanship. I also bought a sage colored one for my granddaughter and her husband; and then a purple one for my daughter. They love them. Sorry I have no awareness of the answer for your question. I would think that buttercream is a yellowish-cream color.

      • A:

It is a lovely creamy ivory and not yellow or beige but a warm ivory. High quality and we are very pleased with it

ramcc... Perhaps you asked a question or left a review previously. There is a small envelope icon above your answer that says Follow to the left. I believe you can click on it and stop receiving questions or anything else. Thanks for your input though. As I stated in my question, last year the picture of Butter Cream was more yellow. I've worked with Overstock for 10 years. My clients love yellow but need a picture indicating such. Unable to show them what they have here... MERCY! OskkUser73246 That is interesting. The way lighting or other colors in a room can make a difference also. Your response seems a lot more appropriate than this picture. Does the picture itself appear beige to you since monitor resolutions differ? I am asking Overstock this question again. A lot of times they think buyers work out solutions on their own. However I need THEIR picture corrected. :) Ramcc.. One reason we have the ability to answer questions is because buyers have first hand knowledge. Customer Service doesn't have everything at their finger tips and in no way remember all this stuff. :) I don't mind the wait as long as its reasonable. Thanks to all for the help and hope this makes sense. Posting my question again. :)

    • Q:

"is it all cotton? what is the percentage if not?"

      • A:

I already cut the tag off, but did purchase the shams. The content of the shams is "All New Material consisting of 94% cotton, 5% polyester, 1% other fibers." I can tell you that the quilt and the shams match in texture and could NOT be ANY softer! I am very happy with the feel! Note: there is a slight difference in the color, however, between the quilt and shams. See more detailed comment in another Answer.

      • A:

        94 percent cotton

      • A:

I still have the tag on my bedspread-94% cotton 5% polyester 1 % other fibers.

      • A:

It is 94% cotton and 6% other fibers.

    • Q:

"Why does the only picture of Butter Cream appear beige and not yellow at all? Will someone please have a correct pic added? Also what color is the last bedspread shown w/o the color names underneath? If it is Taupe... is that more brown than beige? Have a client that purchased this in blue and LOVES it.. now wants a King in beige. I dont remember seeing this in beige... unless it is shown without a name under the photo and unavailable. :) Thanks!"

      • A:

It is definitely not my idea of what taupe is. It is brown - no question.

      • A:

Thanks Harriet M. You sound like the voice of experience. I will take that as not true to picture. Now, Overstock... will someone please have the Butter Cream and Taupe pictures corrected. I know for sure Butter Cream is Yellow and not as shown... picture of both desperately need a new one. Thanks!

      • A:

I purchased what was supposed to be "Blue", but when I received it, it looked more like a sage. I also purchased "matching" shams. These, too, were sage. The thing is that they were a slightly different shade of sage from the quilt. I mentioned the need to change the color description, just as you did. I returned the items and selected the Butter Cream. The color is yummy. I would liken it to the color of French Vanilla ice cream. Again, I ordered the "matching" shams and again they were a slightly different shade from the quilt. I decided that with all the decorative pillows on top, no one would notice. That truly is the case. I've included a side by side so you can see the difference, and one of the pillow stack so you can see that it is not noticeable. I do think that the sage difference was more pronounced and may possibly be the case with other darker colors.

      • A:

Thanks OstkUser657799. I have a client that purchased the blue and loves it! Said exactly as shown. Lighting and other colors in a room can make a difference. Seems you did the right thing because they sent the sage instead.. again seems like it anyway. Hmmmm French Vanilla Ice Cream favors the Butter Cream. Sounds wonderful. Again the pictures given are far from that too! I need it corrected to show my clients. Thanks for the information. It is really beneficial because I surely do not see that either in what is shown. Guess I will ask again. :) Thanks so much!

      • A:

I sent pictures with my reply, but it seems they were not posted. I'd gladly email them directly to you, if you can't get an answer or color correction from OS.

    • Q:

"Am I able to purchase shams and matching colored drapes that block the light"

      • A:

I already have shams to contrast the bedspread! I don't think they sell shams!

      • A:

Item# 18958888 are the only matching shams available at this time. Other sizes and colors may or not be restocked. In my opinion, it would be hard matching drapes perfectly due to differences in color resolutions on monitors and so forth. The shams seem to be made by the same manufacturer based on their name... so shouldn't be a problem. If you ordered the bedspread and shams, a sham could be taken to a store near you to coordinate drapes. Hope this helps and good luck to you!

"Is this bedspread heavy on you when you sleep? I am in Las Vegas and need one for the winter time, like now, bought one off Ostock but its too small, should have sent back.. but oh well..."

      • A:

No it is not heavy, not like a duvet can be.

      • A:

It is perfect weight and I live in Texas. It also washes up great!

      • A:

I live in Tucson and I don't find it too heavy for winter here. I love mine!

      • A:

No it is very light and washes beautifully!

      • A:

        I would say medium weight.

      • A:

It doesn't feel heavyweight, but does provide sufficient warmth. We live in the Midwest so I have a simple cotton blanket under it and the two provide sufficient warmth. It is oversized so no problems with length or width even on a pillow top mattress. Them shams I found in the same color description were not a good match in color. I have lots of other pillows covering them so it's not been a big issue.

      • A:

I live in Michigan I just use a sheet, light blanket and the spread. I love this spread covers my pillows and goes to the floor on all three sides. Great buy for the price❗️

      • A:

Good weight for Southwest Texas. Not too heavy.

      • A:

I have enjoyed this bedspread, It is not heavy at all and very soft. For everyone asking about shams........you will not need them. It is large enough to cover the pillows you sleep on and I have a couple of decorative pillows on top. Delisa

      • A:

No. It is very comfortable..like a light blanket.

"What size bedspread do I need for my king size bed which is 2 x 2 meters with a drop of 57 cms to floor from mattress"

      • A:

Best to measure or ask customer service. They're usually very helpful.

      • A:

I bought a king size for my antique bed that was adapted to fit a queen size mattress. It is a very high bed, the drop from the top of the mattress to the floor is 34 inches with a slight drape on the floor. I love it!!!

      • A:

I bought this quilt for a queen bed. It comes down to the bottom of the box springs. our bed is a rice bed so it is pretty high off the ground. If you want it to go all the way to the floor, I do not think this will work for you unless your bed is VERY low to the floor. I hope this helps.

      • A:

An American standard ('Eastern") king-size mattress is 78 inches wide and 80 inches long, which is roughly 2 meters by 2 meters - so it sounds like that's what you have. The king size spread should fit your mattress just fine. Note that an American "Western" (sometimes called "California") king is narrower (can't remember the exact width) and longer (84 inches). You wouldn't want a Western king spread, but that shouldn't be an issue; because unless the description says 'Western" (or "California") king specifically, it will be an Eastern king, and OK for you. Just don't buy a Western or California king. Sorry if this is confusing, but you need to be aware of the fact that there are two "king" size mattresses, but the good news is you have the more common of the two.

      • A:

The king size will cover it, but not go to the floor

      • A:

I bought the king-sized quilt for my king-sized bed. It's a perfect fit. Enjoy!

    • Q:

"are the shams to this bedspread available?"

      • A:

I have never seen the shams available, and have seen other comments stating the same.

      • A:

I agree with Elizabeth B. - the shams are in the illustrations but I've never seen them listed for sale on this site. I can add only one thing, which is that the amount of bedspread at the top, for tucking under and covering the bed pillows, is very generous. I have no trouble whatsoever covering reasonably thick pillows stacked two deep with these spreads - which for me eliminates the need for shams. You can still put some contrasting accent / scatter pillows on the bed if you want to dress it up. As an aside, I really, really like these bedspreads. They look rich without looking busy. I liked the first one I bought so much that I went back and bought two more for other beds. I have pets so I need to launder bedspreads fairly frequently, and these launder very nicely. I would highly recommend laundering them in a front-loading washer, however - or one of those new small-agitator top loaders.

      • A:

The shams weren't available. I looked on e-bay and found very nice ones that very nearly match the spread. Very satisfied with both the spread and the shams.

    • Q:

"What is the weight of the queen bedspread"

      • A:

If you are familiar with quilts, thirst would be described as one layer of batting between two fabrics. The materials and binding are the same on mine so I can easily reverse it if necessary and it would probably not be noticed. I use it year round here in San Diego and add a blanket in the winter. Hope this helps.
