Excellent sheets! These sheets are heavy and durable and were exactly what I was wanting. With each wash, the sheets get softer. The thread count of 1200 is perfect!

I was worried about using these sheets and getting the comfort that I had always heard through reviews. I gave my wife these sheets for a gift because we had always bought what was cheap and she always had showed concern about the usability after so many washes. We received these sheets and how amazing they were, the comfort was astounding and the durability was enough to keep us coming back. We were ecstatic about the feel and would definitely purchase again. Since the initial purchase, my wife has purchased for our children and the money we save alone by buying fewer and far between has made this a well thought out purchase and anyone would be happy with the same purchase. Don’t go cheap on yourself and give yourself some luxury with these sheets. Remember, the higher the thread count, the more comfort you will feel, like a pillow.

i bought these strictly for the color because it wasn't available in 1500 ct. I was not expecting much since all my sheets are highter..let me tell the people who complain about the thickness that is a sign of good sheets and you will appreciate that thickness after your cheap sheets have long been tattered and thrown out. Mine are going on 10 years and look new. Now these 1200 count are deep pockets and did not shrink. The color was vibrant and I honestly could barely tell the difference of 1500 count. Not enough to notice and I have washed them 4 times. I am breaking my own rule and getting more. Don't tell my 1500 count sheets. Lol

These sheets are wonderful. In my experience, the best feel is if the sheets are ironed, which I know most people don't like to do. Ironing takes away all of the stiff and scratchy feeling that others complain about, and they feel crisp and smooth. (Personally, I like to iron and catch up on a little Netflix!)

These sheets are double ply and very thick and heavy. I have had some for several years and they are very colorfast after hundreds of washings. They do not pill, dry very well and stand up to being slept on by humans and dogs. In the deep south, the top sheets are a bit heavy for our blazing hot summer season.

I love these sheets. They are heavy enough to use in the winter, yet still comfortable in the summer. They do wrinkle slightly if you dry the at too high a temp, but I just put them back on the bed and the wrinkles disappear.

        They are light green.

      • A:

Almost as shown. They are sort of shiny looking and a real pretty sage/moss green.

      • A:

They are a soft light green.

    • Q:

"Hi, Do the pillow cases have pockets or just opening (so you see the pillow)? Thanks"

      • A:

Just an opening so you can see the pillow

      • A:

The pillow cases that I purchased do not have pockets. They are opened at one end.

      • A:

They are just standard pillow cases with an opening that you put the pillow in. Not as soft as I was hoping for - maybe after a few washes.

      • A:

There are no pockets and the length is perfect for the standard and king size pillow cases. There is is just enough material at the opening to tuck under if you so choose.

      • A:

Opening only, and they are really generously sized.

      • A:

        Mine have pockets.

      • A:

Just open, the fabric is quite thick and the sheets feel good but the pillow cases feel prickly on my face.

    • Q:

"How many times do I have to wash them before they are not scratchy "

      • A:

I only had to wash mine once. They were soft from the get go and I have very sensitive skin.

      • A:

I don’t consider them “scratchy”, but they are designed to be stiff...almost starchy. That’s how I prefer them.

      • A:

I only had to wash and dry them once. I use detergent for sensitive skin as I have bad allergies.

      • A:

I have washed mine at least 12-15 times. While I never found them scratchy, they are more stiff, like they have been starched. They were much softer (and less stiff) after about 6-8 washings.

      • A:

I found the white sheets instantly soft. We got a set of grey and they were a bit stiffer but still same quality. We added a bit more softener in the wash and they are less stiff but the white is still our favorite set! I will be buying these sheets again!

      • A:

We have washed many times, they have never become soft to the touch. It is just a coarser cotton, and heavier, than other premium sheets.

      • A:

I love these sheets because they are heavier than what I usually find. I had an 800 TC set that was equally thick but not as heavy, and 1500 TC that were as light and thin as tissue paper. I prefer some substance to the sheets and very thin = not desirable for me. When considering this purchase I noted some of the reviews said they could be scratchy - but really I think they were just stiff from the finishing process. I washed once and found them just sublime. This is my favorite set. I washed once before use, but the second wash did seem to relax the fabric a little more.

      • A:

I liked the way they feel on my body, only my face is sensitive , I recommend buying a lower thread count like 300 for pillowcases you can buy separately.

      • A:

It took me about 4 times of washing before the sheets softened.

      • A:

Once or twice was enough. Note that there is a smooth side and a rough side to both the top and bottom sheets. (Also the pillow slips for that matter -- inside and outside) There is a really marked difference between the two and we make sure to get the smooth side up on the bottom sheet and the smooth side down on the top sheet. We use ours in our short-term rental and have washed them countless times while receiving many glowing comments about the sheets.

      • A:

Just once. They are very soft right out of the pkg.

      • A:

First time I washed them they felt smooth and substantial and were not at all scratchy.

      • A:

the sheets feel good after one wash and they are made very well, but the pillow cases never stopped itching my face... I use them for deco and sleep on other pillow cases.

    • Q:

"Is cotton sheets better than polyestet or saten"

      • A:

Yes!!! They are not as hot... they get softer with each wash🙂👍

      • A:

Hello, 100% cotton is always better then polyester or poly-blend. That is if you get warm thru the night or if you would like to stay cool as you get a good night sleep. Manmade fiber such as polyester will cause you to warm up or even sweat as you try to sleep. Which for me, as a woman in my 50s, is very uncomfortable. Sateen cotton is a softer, thinner cotton and it is comfortable as well. However, pay attention to fiber content, which in some cases may consist of polyester. Another important factor is the thread count. 100% cotton thread count 400 and above is very comfortable. The higher the better. 1200 thread count is excellent for the cooler nights such as Fall and Winter. It can be a bit too high for Warm nights but never-the-less a better quality. The more you wash them, the softer they'll get. Consider using a liquid fabric softener also. For me that's the icing on the cake. Finally, even if the fabric is 100% cotton, thread counts less than 400 and maybe some 300 is poor quality. The more you wash them, the more you will have lint balls, which feels like grit in the bed and which creates a very uncomfortable night sleep. Sleep is very important to our health and well being. It sets the tone for the start of your day. So don't buy cheap! Invest in your health and buy the very best quality that you can afford. I hope that this is help to all.

      • A:

I think so. They are quite a bit "heavier" but so comfortable. The feel so good against your skin.

      • A:

Cotton is much better, especially if you get too warm like I do. Don’t buy the synthetic stuff, stick with good old cotton!

      • A:

100% cotton sheets are so much better than polyester for a number of reasons. The feeling against your skin is luxurious and soothing. Actually cotton will not irritate any skin sensitivity you may. Cotton sheeting is used in hospitals for most burn patients because it does not aggravate their skin. In fact, 100% cotton has been found to help halt bleeding, soothe burns, fight microbes, and more. Cotton will adjust to your body's temperature and absorb sweat when you are hot and help maintain your body heat when you are cold. Polyester will cause you to sweat and over heat. Sateen sheets refers to the pattern woven and the way they are processed into the sheet. Sateen sheets can be all cotton or polyester/cotton blends. The same is true for percale sheets. Egyptian cotton is prized for its superior quality, the fineness of the cotton fibers and their strength and longevity. That is why it is usually one of the most expensive cotton products sold. The higher the thread count, the finer the cotton used per square inch. So a 300 thread count all cotton sheet set has fewer threads per square inch than a 1500 thread count all cotton sheet set. The 1500 thread count should always feels thicker, crisper, sleeker and softer (the better they feel the more they are washed). The higher thread count cotton will also be more durable than all cotton sheets with a lesser thread count because so many more threads are tightly woven into a square inch. Within your budget always buy the highest thread count 100% cotton sheets you can afford. If you can only afford 300 or 400 thread count all cotton sheets, they will be far better for you than a 1500 thread count "cotton blend" or "cotton rich" sheet. Always check the material content, if you see the words "cotton rich" or "cotton blend," pass them by. Sheets with a polyester/cotton blend are usually less wrinkly than 100% cotton sheets. But a few wrinkles are a very small sacrifice to have the luxury and natural benefits of 100%cotton.

"Do these sheets shrink in width after washing and drying? I need king sheets that keep their width and length so they can be tucked into a deep mattress after washing. Feedback is greatly appreciated!"

      • A:

        Yes they do

      • A:

Not At All they are wonderful !!!

      • A:

yes, they keep their width & length (no shrinkage over numerous washes in last year of purchase). This is our third set over the last four years.

      • A:

Run far away. After three washings, these were nearly impossible to put on our bed, and eventually the fitted sheet ripped at the seams. Disgracefully bad quality.

      • A:

        Mine did not shrink

      • A:

I found that these do not shrink at all. Very thick and durable.

      • A:

Mine did not. I absolutely love them. I wash in cold, to conserve energy and keep my power bill down, but the sheets did not shrink when dried.

      • A:

My sheets never did shrink. I've washed them about 3 times now.

      • A:

Mine sheets may have not shrunk because they are the 1200 thread count. Not sure if that matters or not.

      • A:

They did not shrink. I have CalKiing and they fit perfect.

      • A:

I always wash my brand new bedding before first use, so I can't tell you how much shrinkage there is. I have washed these sheets 5 times since purchase and they continue to fit very well on my king size memory foam mattress. No quality problems with the sheets at all. We love them!

      • A:

As long as you use the right detergent and add a cup of vinegar to the wash just after the washer fills then they absolutely won't shrink! I have three sets of these sheets and love them!

      • A:

NO SHRINKAGE (WOULDN'T GEORGE BE HAPPY?) ONLY MORE SOFTNESS.

      • A:

        They do no shrink

      • A:

You will be happy with these sheets' lack of shrinkage. I too have a deeper than usual mattress and these sheets do not ride up on them at all. Wonderful product.

      • A:

I've washed the sheets about half a dozen times and they have kept their shape and fit my mattress perfectly

      • A:

I own two sets of these king size sheets and launder them exactly as directed; cold water wash and rinse, no bleach and no fabric softener. Since I have a smaller front loader washer, I prefer to wash them one sheet at a time for a full clean and full rinse. I have noticed virtually NO shrinkage and they fit with plenty to tuck under the mattress. I do not have a pillowtop mattress requiring especially deep pockets, so I have not experienced any difficulty or tearing. They are very well made, fitted sheet has elastic completely sewn around. I never dry them totally bone dry and do not use high heat in dryer. My preference is to iron my pillowcases and top and side edges of the flat sheet for that pristine neat and tidy look.

      • A:

I have several of these sets and I've found that pulling the fitted sheet out of the dryer when damp and stretching it on the mattress gives me a better fit without tearing the corners. I put three corners on and then very slowly pull with my weight on the 4th corner and tuck under.

      • A:

Worst set of sheets I'd bought!!

Hi, Try drying them on a cooler setting. The high heat may have caused your issue? I've had the same happen over time with my last set. I change to a lower heat and they still dry quickly.

      • A:

It is gold/yellow. You cannot buy anything better for the price than Overstock 1200 ct. Egyptian cotton.

      • A:

I've haven't had any ripping of the seams. The sheets are great! Stretch out the sheets after washing to pull back it original size and dry on a lower heat setting. You should find this will improve your fit.

      • A:

Are you using the delicate cycle on ur washer and are you using the detergent they recommend? I also add a cup of vinegar to washer after it fills and mine don't shrink at all!

      • A:

I dont think they are scratchy at all.

    • Q:

"Is the "Gold" color as saturated as it is in the photo? Is it true yellow or yellow-orange?"

      • A:

I don't have the gold sheets, but the ivory and khaki/platinum color sheets are true to the color. They are very good sheets and have a nice heft to them.

      • A:

No not anywhere near that yellow orange color. This set is truly gold. They wash great and keep their color.

      • A:

If you mean a sunshine yellow, it is not. It is more of a maize color; more yellow orange. A beautiful color, and the sheets, while intitially stiff, soften beautifully over time.

      • A:

Saturated is absolutely the right word to describe the gold color! It's really a rich golden shade of deep yellow. No orange or green. I's the perfect color with the deep rust, moss green and gold colors in the duvet and throw pillows on the bed.

      • A:

The gold is not as yellow in the photo. It's a warm golden color.

      • A:

        It's a true. Gold. Color

      • A:

It is a BIT softer than the photo. It is definitely a gold color.

      • A:

It is a true gold, not yellow.

      • A:

        gold....but very heavy sheets

      • A:

I blue was very true color as stated

      • A:

The gold ones are really, really gold. I actually returned mine.

      • A:

The gold colored sheets look identical to the color shown on the website. I've had mine for almost 3 years, and after laundering many times they still look exactly like the picture on my laptop, as i just compared them in order to answer your question accurately. Enjoy!

    • Q:

"where are these sheets manufactured ?"

      • A:

Good question and a disappointing answer. We bought these same sheet sets before. This was our third set over 7 years, all from Overstock. Same company name and all but the earlier ones were made-in-USA. These are shown as made-in-China. They're a bit "stiffer" than the earlier ones but seem high quality and all.

      • A:

Made in China. Disappointed in these as they are very heavy and stiff. I'm sure they will never wear out in my lifetime, much to my chagrin.

      • A:

The sheets are made in China. They are of great quality and maintain their color over a long period of time.

      • A:

Made in China however I love mine. I feel these are very high quality regardless where they were made.

      • A:

yes they are...great quality...bought a second and third set...cozy in the winter, a bit warm in the summer...complaints about 'stiffness' are use to 400 count 'wear them out in a year' comparisons...

      • A:

Yes they are, but very heavy cotton material.

      • A:

Not sure, but they are nice heavy material & last for ages. I like the 1500 thread count better but if money is an issue these are very good.

      • A:

They are thick and heavy. They do not say single ply, so I'd have to say no, but I like thicker sheets. With the A/C on in the summer and a fan usually going on over me, They are just enough to keep me temperate. AND the winter - well all the more warmth provided with a comforter on top. And they are luxurious They soften up after about 5 washes and dryer times. However I was them in separate loads as I have King size and I want to wash them properly. I put the fitted in one load and the pillowcases and the top sheet in another. If you have other little clothes to put in with them you can fill up the wash load a little more, but I have learned that the freer sheets can move while washing, the better the detergent rinses out of them and leaves them a little more soft after they go through the dryer. AND NEVER dry your Egyptian sheets on high heat - use medium

      • A:

"I want high thread count sheets that are NOT SATEEN weaved. Cotton ONLY"

      • A:

        Here are some I was able to find ITEM# 17205846, ITEM#: 15466635 and ITEM# 16586483.

      • A:

I purchased the Impressions by Luxor 100% Egyptian cotton - they are very thick and substantial sheets that will get softer over time. This is exactly what I was looking for, as the super soft sheets are nice, however they do not hold up long term and usually are a blend. I have to iron my sheets if I want them crisp, however after about a dozen washes they should start to soften up a little. If you're looking for all cotton, thick and long lasting, this brand is an excellent choice. They also have enough overhang on the sides to actually tuck in, which was a problem I had with other sheet sets. I purchased the white and I love mine.... hope this helps
