Yes, they are a bit " heavy". But my husband and I love them. Launder well. Have purchased several high thread count sets from overstock. All have been pleasing

  • I've owned this for about a year now
    Verified Purchase

These are uber thick sheets; however, they are not a really soft blend of material. I've washed them a ton, and they slightly fray on the ends of the sheets. Going back to 400 thread counts as they are softer, and last just as long.

  • Excellent Sheets! Great fit.

These are the most wonderful set of sheets that I have bought from here. I am actually looking through my past orders to find these again in another color. The best! Super soft and stay fit. No wrinkles....

  • As thick as canvas
    Verified Purchase

I thought the more thread count the better - boy was I wrong! Feels like canvas, and they are not shiny like in the picture.

  • Good quality sheets

When I was a child my grandmother ironed her sheets and I never understood why would you do that. These sheets explain it all. High thread count sheets need to be ironed and all sheets used to be good quality. Now you can buy 200 thread count permanent press sheets that come out of the dryer ready to use. I have owned these particular sheets for four years and they are great. They are durable to biweekly washing and have held their color and shape. They could stand to be ironed but I don't I just put them on as is. I have found them to be durable, comfortable and of very high quality realitive to other sheet sets I have purchased. After four years they are now starting to show wear but no holes or rips or tears just wear from use. I am about to purchase another set right now.

  • Very disappointed

I was very disappointed in these sheets. I never spent this much money on sheets and really was expecting a luxurious treat. They are very wrinkled coming out of the dryer. My main complaint is that the fitted sheet does not fit - at all. Very frustrating and back-breaking! Pillowcases are skimpy. I would not recommend them to anyone.

  • Seems split after little use and washing.
    Verified Purchase

After few washings the corner seems on the fitted sheet all split, rendering the sheets useless. These were expensive sheets (even at Overstock's price) to have them last such a short time. Disappointed.

  • not what I expected
    Verified Purchase

I bought the Egyptian Cotton 1200 Thread Count Stripe Sheet Set thinking that these sheets would be super soft like the other Egyptian cotton sheets that I have slept on. This is not the case. These sheets feel like any other normal sheets to me, excpet they feel a little thicker. Maybe I need a better understanding of what Egyptian cotton really is because these are not as soft as I expected. Next time I'll be sure to feel the fabric at a specialty store, such as ********* and then check Overstock to see if they carry the same type. Overall, I'm sure these are good sheets, but I was expecting something different. I would have guessed that these had come from ***** if I didn't know where they were purchased.

  • strong but not too soft
    Verified Purchase

Not as soft as other high thread count sheets. They seem fairly strong which is probably due to the egyptian cotton. The color is nice, we got the light blue. Washes easily.

Product is as described and will be a great sheet during the winter! Nice quality and very soft but not slippery like satin(which I do not like) They are sturdy for sheets and of high quality.

  • Great Sheets
    Verified Purchase

This is the second set of 1200 thread count that we have purchased. They are wonderful summer time sheets, lighter than the 1500 thread count we like for winter.

  • Do you like to iron?
    Verified Purchase

If you love to iron, then these are the sheets for you. Took forever to dry in the dryer and always came out extremely wrinkled. Plus, they began to tear at the corners on the fitted sheet, they say the sheets have a 17 inch depth, our mattress is 12-13 inches deep but you really had use a lot of muscle to put the sheet on. They are very comfortable, but I would not reccomend to anyone.

  • Good Value
    Verified Purchase

I purchased these sheets after looking in department stores and finding much higher prices and lower thread counts in discount chains. I really liked the color, price, and high thread count. The color we purchased was in taupe and coordinated with our brown/gold bedding. The sheets are very thick and have held up through washes well. The reason for the 4 star rating is due to the average softness of the sheets. I was expecting the sheets to be so much softer since the thread count was so high. Overall, good product for the price. I would buy again.

  • Could be softer
    Verified Purchase

I have a set of 800 count Egyptian cotton sheets and they're super soft so for mother's day I figured I'd buy 1200 count for my mom but I don't know if it's the stripes that make the sheets feel rougher. These sheets feel just as soft (not softer) than my 800 count smooth sheets.

The sheets are very heavy, you could use them as drapes, but don't seem as soft as the 1500 count. I read it takes a few times to wash them to soften up, so we'll see. They do fit a deep mattress well. No problem recommending them.

  • luxe
    Verified Purchase

These sheets are very luxe and fabulous. They are heavy, to be expected for the thread count, and I keep lighter thread count sheets around for the summer. They are a bit stiff at first, as other reviews state, but I actually delight in the heaviness of the feel ? it is luxurious and they soften with each wash. My only slight disappointment is that for ?ivory? they are a bit yellow ? not a true ivory. But the price is fantastic. I recommend them.

  • Egyptian cotton sheets
    Verified Purchase

These sheets are literally the best deal I have been able to find. The sheets are very soft after washed and hold their color very well. My mattress is an 10 inch memory foam and the sheets fit comfortably. Overall this is a wonderful deal you shouldn't pass.

  • Stained
    Verified Purchase

Be careful if you buy the white sheets, they took up the dye from the detergent extremely well. Now the sheets have blotchy blue marks, so either i will have to bleach them or live with the stain... I've never had issues with this detergent before. As far as quality, hopefully it will get softer with more use or washes. average quality product.
