  • just right for South Carolina winter

Not too thick, not too thin, fits easily into a king duvet cover without making the cover look silly. We are very happy with this comforter.

  • Nice quality
    Verified Purchase

We like this duvet. Purchased a beautiful cover from OS and it works well. It takes a bit of getting used to after down, as it is not as light. It is warm enough for winter, and hoping it will be cool in the Texas summer too.

  • not a comforter
    Verified Purchase

the item is not a comforter. the fill is only the thickness of a very thin batting, and not filled as pictured in the photo. the photo clearly shows thick puffy filled channels, the item is only the thickness of a bedspread if that.

  • Love the comforter
    Verified Purchase

I slept with a very expensive silk-filled comforter for a very long time and it needed to be replaced. This comforter is very similar and the price can't be beat. Love it.

  • Wonderful Medium weight Comforter
    Verified Purchase

I have wanted a silk comforter for a long time and am very satisfied with this one. It is great for 3 season use. Not quite warm enough for below 30 degrees but wonderful above that. It is keeping its loft, does not smell odd, is not leaking filling and was exactly as described.

  • Finally, comfort rather than frustration!
    Verified Purchase

I've been bragging to anyone who will listen to me about this purchase. For years we've been trying to get down comforters to work with us, not against us, and when I switched to this Silk filled comforter, I quit fighting my bedding! We spent a fair amount of money on a down comforter purchased from this sight as well, but the fill kept finding its way to the edges of the bed, and no matter how much time and effort (shaking, cursing, shuffling, etc.) I put into trying to get the loft back into the middle of the bed, I couldn't get the comforter to cooperate! This Silk filled comforter fit perfectly into our King size duvet, I will agree with other reviewers that it's perhaps 2 inches short? Whatever, it's fine, we don't notice it. The weight feels so comforting, it keeps up at a much cooler temperature, yet perfectly, snuggly warm. The weight of the comforter was the first thing we noticed, the slight smell at first was the next. The smell of hay went away in a day or two, and now we're left with a comforting comforter that keeps us warm, doesn't frustrate us or shift around inside the duvet, and will hopefully last us for years. The over all look is different, you don't get that pile of whipped cream, inviting puffy look like down, but at least you don't get the lumps either! :)

  • I like it better than down
    Verified Purchase

Well made. Doesn`t bunch up like down. Weighs about as much as a polyester comforter. I dont like heavy bed covers and this is has a nice weight. Just right for cool fall nights. Will be great with a blanket on cold winter nights. I would have rated it excellent if it were a bit longer.

  • Silk-Filled Comforter
    Verified Purchase

I am very pleased with this purchase. The silk-filled comforter is light-weight, but when put into a duvet cover, keeps us quite warm. That's surprising for such a light-weight comforter. Of course, living in the southeast U.S., we have a very temperate climate, but still, it makes for a very cozy sleep!

  • Lightweight comforter - good for warmer evenings
    Verified Purchase

My husband is from Germany where they sleep under comforters that go into comforter covers - there's no separate top sheet. We had been looking for a light-weight silk comforter to replace an old one from Germany. This item fit the bill.

  • Fantastic--Year round Comfort
    Verified Purchase

Purchased the comforter to replace and older, smaller down-filled comforter. Absolutely am so appreciative of this silk-filled comforter!!! It can be used year round. It's cozy and warm in the winter and still extremely comfortable, even in the summer. Now, I am going crazy buying duvet covers.

  • Excellent choice in comforters

This silk comforter is light yet keeps me warm. Unlike the down comforter, you don't get hot under it. It is a generous size and overall a great comforter.

  • Fabulous comforter
    Verified Purchase

Loved this quilt that I ended up ordering another for my mum. It is light yet warm. The weave is tight and of good quality fabric. You would need to put a cover over it. The price was terrific. I would highly recommend this quilt.

  • So comfortable. Not too hot or too cold.
    Verified Purchase

I like this comforter as in my climate I can use it all year round and am very comfortable at all times. We don't get very cold nor very hot in South California near the coast. And I never feel any "humidity" under it. Just great.

  • Love it for summers in New England
    Verified Purchase

Just bought our second one. It is the perfect thing to give you a little a bit of snuggly comfort on those summer nights when the temperature in the house is over 72 degrees without making you hot. Would not recommend it for the other three seasons of the year in colder climates.

I love this comforter! My husband and I are both comfortable under it. With a down comforter, I end up taking it off and putting it back on during the night, as I get hot or cold; with this silk comforter it seems to regulate the heat and keep us comfortable all night.

Have wanted a silk filled duvet - and so glad to find one at this great price. Tumbled it in a cool dryer with fabric softener sheets to dispell the "new item" odor. Wanted a queen, but only king size available - so, folded it over to fit queen size duvet cover. Light weight enough so that wasn't a problem, plus it adds another layer of warmth at shoulder area.
