This is an awesome memory foam topper especially for the price. Only downside I've found is it does create a warmer sleeping environment. Great for winter!

I had a 4" 4lb topper like this for years, but decided it should be replaced (there was nothing wrong with it--but it seemed like for sanitary reasons . . .). I was concerned that a new one wouldn't be as perfect as my old one, but it is great. I can't imagine sleeping without this topper. It's like sleeping on a cloud.

So far so good. I've only had it a couple of weeks. Hoping it will keep its shape. I did have to buy deep pocket sheets b/c it's so thick. Might want to keep that in mind.

    • Turns any mattress into a dream of pleasure!

I purchased this 4" memory foam mattress topper as a last effort to find something that would help me sleep better. I have been fighting a few horrible disease's called Fibromyalgia and Rheumatoid Arthristis and Chronic Fatigue for years and have never slept through the night. I'm only 44yrs old and too young to feel so old. The first time I put on my memory foam topper, I just layed there with no pain and instant relief. I didn't even get into my pajamas; because I fell asleep within minutes and to my amazement, slept all night long in the same postion. I woke up in complete shock and actually for the first time could walk to the bathroom without feeling stiff and bouncing off my furniture to just hold me up because of the pain. There's not a prescription from any of my doctor's that could have provided me with such relief. Now my condition is getting so much better because I am actually sleeping through all four stages of sleep that your body needs to repair your muscles, ligaments, tendons, not to mention your state of well being from having a great night sleep! I highly recommend this topper to everyone, especially people who suffer from insomnia caused by pain that awakens you when ever you move at night. With this topper, I find that I do not move. This is the best investment which was so cost effective, I could have ever purchased. There's not a sleeping pill in the world that can out do this topper! Thank You Overstock for saving my life. I was at a very low time in my life from suffering such chronic pain day and night. A good nights sleep keeps pain at bay during the day. WOW...what a dream come true. Sincerely, Carolyn

I were a bit skeptical to buy this topper as I know like all of you out there, a good night sleep is priceless... was just thinking of getting rid of my mattress which is still in mid condition and got one of those Tempur Medic mattress instead...Last minutes, I have decided to try this one out first...... oh my Gosh, it was so very comfortable..& .how good was it???? I almost missed work this morning and it is just not so me to do that... My advice, spend monies to buy this first if you are thinking about replacing your mattress... it is really really Great for a fraction of what could cost you..and it is made by Serta...can't go wrong with that.. Please note of one thing, the instruction of how to open this topper was packed in the bottom of the box, so I tried to manually rolled the topper opened and Opps, it was a mistake...I did open it, but it took a lot of of me to do so.... Please do not attempt to do that, just open the topper from its wrapper and let it sit on the floor for at leasat 24hour to air out the smell, but also make it easier to roll it open later. One happy and repeat customer...

I wasnt going to review this product until I had it for a while. 1 year later, here's my review: PROS: - with memory foam pads, the thicker, the better. 4" is the thickkest ive seen available out there. - decently priced. you get what you pay for - never woke up with a bad back, also considering i sleep on my side and chest - i sleep longer CONS: - it is heat sensitive: if it's cold in the room, it's firmer, if it's hot, it's softer and it's no longer a "memory foam" but a regular foam. - with that said, the area/shape you sleep on is not really a "memory foam" because of warm body temperature - the more it is exposed to the air (especially the edges), the foam turns from white to yellow like the rest of the regular foams - it's about 2" short from regular mattress size. but i suppose that's to make room for the fitted sheet to cover the mattress and the extra 4" thick memory foam. - im about 120lbs, the firmness is perfect. but i dont know about those heavier than me, because like i said about the heat/temperature problem, you might find your self sinking down making it a bit uncomfortable in the summer.

Let me start by saying I am a real person. A co worker began talking about his $3K "T-Pedic" bed and really piqued my curiosity. I have a Latex bed and have been happy with it for some time. Well, I stumbled onto Overstocks' memory foam section and saw the 1400+ positive reviews on this 4" topper so I decided to see what all the gushing was about. Let me tell you what you can expect from this product. I ordered the topper on Sunday and it arrived on Friday. For only $3 shipping charge, that is really good. I am very happy with the Overstock shipping. I got a tracking number and could follow the package from manufacturer to my home. I read that some people had rips or stains on their toppers. Mine arrived just fine thru DHL. And I was pleasantly surprised that it had almost no smell. I mean there was a "new" plastic smell, but not anywhere to the point of getting nauseus. Maybe the 5 day trip let the product breath and air out before I got it. But I must admit, the first night my wife and I had to put 3 layers of sheets to not smell the pad when your laying on it. Also I noticed that the manufacturer was Advanced Urethane Technology (even tho it is sold with a serta label), so maybe the quality control issues have been addressed by Serta using this new company. So I drag the box to the master bedroom, and open the box and pull out the foam. It was rolled like a burrito . I centered it on the mattress and took off the plastic covering. As soon as it began to breath, it expanded, Fast. It took less than 10 minutes to fully expand. I did not Force it open. This is where I think most people put tears in their toppers. Moving the foam before there is air in the cell structure is a recipe for disaster. Once fully expanded, the Topper was not as heavy as I though it would be. It is a little tacky, so if you pull it with force, it "could" rip, but just don't pull it. I was easily able to just "lift and push" it into place. Oh and I'm happy to report that the King size really does fit our King bed. Maybe an inch off, but nothing to complain about esp. when i was reading some horror story reviews of 3 inch short toppers. Another thing I am happy to report, is that the topper isn't snow white, but pretty close. So it doesn't look unsightly. But you will be buying a cover for it anyway so what does it matter. So it's unpacked, centered, and expanded, now for a test. WOW. Now this is comfortable! I am happy to tell you that I am convinced that we are in a new era in sleep technology. I know it sounds corny, but I couldn't believe how nice it was. I would compare it to a feather bed but WITH support, or several layers of down comforters that don't squash when laying on it. The thing is, these pads are only going to get better than they are now. I made the bed and did the wife test. She loves it! I surprised her as she didn't know it was on our bed till I told her to lay down. And I know this is going to sound repetitive, but it's true, not 10 minutes after laying down, she was fast asleep! No lie! I was next to her and I just couldn't help but laugh because I had read reviews where the same thing happened to others. It's that comfortable! Ok, so now for some nitty gritty. You do have to adjust to it. It took me and my wife 1 night. It's mostly a mental adjustment more than anything. You just have to move different, and realize that you will be comfortable in one or 2 positions the whole night. My wife and I are back and side sleepers. But you almost get into a routine because your body gets numb or hurts every hour or so on a plain mattress, well no longer. The only time I roll over now, is for breathing reasons, namely if I snore too loud on my back, I'll move to my side, or my wife will move me. :) But once I'm there, I'm done. We are both sleeping more deeply and feel so good, we honestly can't believe it. I can say with honesty that all pressure is alleviated on this topper. No more pinched hips or bad circulation in the arms or shoulders. No more aches, stiffness, or soreness. We simply love this memory foam. Now I do have some advice for those out there who need a more robust topper. This 4" topper is great even at 4lbs. density. But If I didn't have to share my bed , the 5 lbs. density would be my next purchase. These are the only 2 densities, you should ever spend your money on. less than 4lbs wont support body weight very well, and your frankly, just skimping on topper comfort and durability. And stay with either a 3" or 4" thickness. This extra inch helps but is not needed if you have a higher density. I had my wife laying on her back and side and did some measurements and found that even on her side she only used 2" inches of foam and even less at her shoulders (these 2 points are the heaviest). We then measured me (6 ft, 180lbs) and I only used a half inch more at both points. Plenty of margin left in the foam to compress. We then checked for spin alignment, and it was normal. The foam curved exactly to our bodies contours. I had to see this to believe it, but now I have and it's true. So we haven't had the hammock feel with our topper. But maybe it is because of our weight and mattress condition. If your petite, this 4" 4lbs. topper will be a perfect fit as my wife will attest. However, if your heavier, go for the 5lbs. density and if that is too firm, then 4lbs is your answer, or vice-versa. Once your have adapted to how to move on this memory foam, you will love it. The real key is to just use your legs. If your on your back, just bring one knee up and push your foot down, viola! Your rolled over with no fuss or extra muscle needed. In the end, you should not think this topper will make a trash mattress good. It will still conform to the uneven, lumpy surface of your bottom mattress. But if you have a decent one but it's too hard, it will do miracles. For the price, you can't go wrong. Just be sure you don't want a denser topper first and you'll love it. Having this 4" memory foam topper has opened my eyes that $3K for memory foam bed is just a massive markup. You can have the same comfort with a decent mattress or platform bed and 1 of these dense (4or 5 lbs.) toppers for a fraction of the cost. A little reading and shopping will save you thousand$, don't you owe yourself a good nights sleep? This foam is fantastic!

    Questions & Answers

    • Q:

"can i cut a memory foam mattress"

      • A:

I have. It stays in tack but it's not obviously a smooth edge. I've done it on several (once I'm done with it on my own bed I've cut it for my son's bed or our guest room).

      • A:

Yes - I ordered a full size but wanted to use it on a twin. I used a bread knife to cut it. I put the topper on my kitchen table and marked it with a sharpie. with the edge hanging over I sawed through it. I took my time and got a pretty clean cut. good luck!

      • A:

I have cut them too!! As a matter of fact I have ordered the KING and cut it in half for college XL mattress toppers - way less expensive then ordering 2 XL twins! You can use a serrated knife or even quicker my husband used a saw

      • A:

Yes I have cut a memory foam mattress. Mine was 3in. thick.

      • A:

I agree with the previous answer. You can definitely cut through it as it is very dense foam rubber. I think an electric bread knife or sawsall would work well.

      • A:

I must imagine you can ... however I've never tried it ... we discarded the mattress topper because it wasn't all that comfortable for us.

      • A:

Hi, I have done it - to cut down for a smaller bed - but - it is really hard to do and I finally had to use a very large and very sharp knife to do it. It took a while and a lot of patience but I did it. The edge came out rather ragged so I snipped at it until it was passable.... The foam was the same and there was no "slump" at the cut edge - so I would say you can do it. Not pretty - but effective.

      • A:

I have not had to cut this one but have cut similar items with a bread knife in the past.

      • A:

I have, i used an electric filet knife and it worked really good!

      • A:

Sure, best way is with an electric knife. Measure then cut.

      • A:

I cut a king to fit a queen, and used an electric knife! If you don't have an electric knife, a bread knife will also work!

    • Q:

"Hi! What is the weight and box dimensions of the full when shipping? I need to travel international with it packaged and am trying to see if I can check it in. Thanks!"

      • A:

This could be a weighty item! You may want to see if there is a distributor in the country you are going to save shipping costs. The foam mattress shipping box maybe a secondary problem. I have bought 3 memory foam mattresses. All the shipping boxes were destroyed. The interior plastic cover saved the mattress.

    • Q:

"Does this topper contain flame retardants? Often the flame retardants are mixed in with the foam solution."

      • A:

Regrettably, I don't know the answer to that question. We have since purchased another one, as this one didn't wear well & we discarded it.

      • A:

Sorry, I don't know the answer. The only thing I can venture is if this thing caught on fire, the flames would not kill you, the combusting chemicals would. Since I don't smoke, use candles in the bedroom and have central heating it was not a consideration when I purchased the topper. I am not very heavy and find that this is a fabulous mattress if you have pressure on hips and shoulders.

      • A:

        I have no idea............. Sorry

      • A:

All of our mattresses pass California TB 117 for fire safety. There are no added chemical fire retardants.

    • Q:

      "Is it CertiPUR-US approved?"

      • A:

I have no idea since I never heard of a product having to be "CertiPUR-US approved" ..

    • Q:

"Does this come with a cover for the foam?"

      • A:

        No it doesn't.

      • A:

It does not, but we purchased this and it works perfectly. ITEM#: 1016039

      • A:

        No, just the foam

      • A:

No, it doesn't come with a cover....

      • A:

no...but any fitted sheet can act as a cover then put your regular sheet set on top....

      • A:

No. However, the topper has remained fully intact over the past year. Normally we cover it with a mattress pad and a fitted sheet.

      • A:

No, we had to purchase a cover separately. We also didn't find this topper comfortable ... and we ultimately purchased another topper, that has proven more to our liking. Jcadkins

      • A:

No - It is just the foam. I purchased a mattress cover for it and it's just fine.

      • A:

No it does not, but it is VERY comfortable, and stays that way!

      • A:

No, this particular item does not. However, I put it over my mattress, but it is under the mattress cover, so it is protected. I really like it, and I would totally recommend it.

      • A:

Yes There is no top or bottom

      • A:

No front to back or top to bottom. It will help any mattress.

      • A:

yes, but get some help to flip it..................

      • A:

Yes this is reversible. Either side up. I put a cover on mine to keep it clean. Love love love this topper!!

      • A:

        Yes it is reversible.

      • A:

Yes definitely love mine I bought 3

      • A:

Yes it can go either side. The queen size seems more firm than king.

    • Q:

"I just recently bought this topper, it is very firm, to a point that if you just roll over on it, it feels hard and then I sink in. Is there something wrong with my topper? Or will this "hardness" wear out?"

      • A:

My topper is very cozy all over and the density does not change when I roll over, which I do al lot.

      • A:

That's the way it's supposed to work. When you "sink in" that's what memory foam does - it conforms to your body. If it wasn't "hard" it would be no good - just soft. I love the way it works!

      • A:

We have had our topper for about a year and it has been consistently soft and cushy. It was too soft for my wife; and, after a year she took it off our bed.

      • A:

Yes it should be firm when you first get it...especially if it is cold in the room. The "hardness" is very much affected by coldness and heat. It will soften up with use yes; mine always do. Be glad it's firm! If you get one soft right away, it often becomes TOO soft too soon. =) I've gotten bad toppers that had no memory left and they were soft. Hard is a good sign, IMHO, that you got a good topper of proper density.

      • A:

This has not been my experience with this topper, which I bought twice in queen and king. Both have been cushy and very comfortable, not hard at all. I suffered for a year on hard topper that I bought elsewhere for less money but couldn't stand any longer and relented and spent the money for this topper. No regrets. Your topper may be defective.

    • Q:

"Why would memory foam get hard or solid after a few years ?"

      • A:

I've never had a topper get hard. What I have had happen is in places it can tear & split. Especially, it seems on the side I sleep on, about shoulder/elbow height. Apparently when I turn over, my elbow pokes into the foam, & over time it tears. When it get too bad, we replace the topper. If you don't have the tearing issue, they would last indefinitely.

      • A:

it hasnt gotten solid, no problems with this topper at all, love it

    • Q:

"Does the foam topper get hot from body heat while sleeping?"

      • A:

I have not noticed that it gets hot. The only issue i have with the topper is that it is a bit narrower than the mattress.

      • A:

I haven't noticed that it gets hot at all. We have them on every bed and my adult kids love coming and spending the night . They all say that they get a wonderful night's sleep.

      • A:

I have a 5'10 230 lbs son who sleeps on it and loves it. It molds to your body and provides much support.

      • A:

If you get hot sleeping you may notice a little warmth, but not exceptionally.

      • A:

Yes it does. For me it is a problem - so I purchased a mattress cover that keeps me cool. It's worth it because I LOVE the topper! It's my 3rd one (they last about 3-4 years). Hope you like it as much as I do!

      • A:

I love the topper which adjusts to your body temperature, very comfortable!

      • A:

I think that would depend on whether the person generates a lot of body heat while sleeping. But as far as I know it is not made to "keep cool" like some "gel" toppers.

      • A:

No, it does not get hot. We use a mattress cover on it. I do agree that it does not totally fit the mattress size. We have bought 2 queens and 2 kings. Could not sleep without them.

      • A:

        no it is great

      • A:

The topper is actually a bit cooler than a mattress alone. We have had ours for a year and it has held up well. We bought it to get more mileage out of our old mattress.

      • A:

yes, I think it does get hot.

"FIBROMYALGIA PEOPLE, CHRONIC PAIN PEOPLE-- I have horrible fibro and I need something. I've read reviews of this being like a soft fluffy pillow and also it being firm. Can any fibro folks or chronic pain folks comment on this being helpful. I'm wondering if I should go with another brand."

      • A:

I don't know about being firm. It offers support in the way of enveloping you (you sink in) and not having pressure points. We find it very comfortable.

      • A:

I have the same thing and I love the Ultimate foam. I have it on a twin bed and am ordering it for 2 more beds. I gave one to my daughter when she was pregnant and she was able to sleep better because it formed to her stomach.

      • A:

I also have horrible fibromyalgia and chronic pain. I could not sleep without this topper and it's on top of a sleep number bed too. You have to get one that has a 4 pound density. The others offer no support. This is my second one. They are easy to care for, just flip it side to side or end to end when your up to it.

      • A:

Ok oddly I'm finding people with similar issues. I'm down to two-the hotel 3" with 1.5 fiber cover or this a full 4 inches of just memory foam. These are the two I will be choosing . I liked the answers and a cover with the Grand Hotel. I like this too! So pain people or staff-who has one like this?

    • Q:

"Another question! Do people usually also get a little cover for this topper, or just put it on the mattress and cover it with the fitted sheet? Thank you!"

      • A:

When I purchased this topper, I also got a new mattress pad, just as I would do with any other bed. The pad is easy to throw into the washer, and protects the topper from sweat, accidental spills, etc. While not absolutely necessary, I certainly would recommend it as a protection for your investment.

      • A:

I bought this topper for several beds, and I cover each with a mattress pad also purchased from Overstock. I do buy deep pocket sheets, but it is all worth it. These mattress toppers change a bed from stiff and uncomfortable to one that allows a much more comfortable night's sleep. I have fibromyalgia, and I swear by these. My family and I love them. They work very well on new mattresses and old ones, too, extending the life of an older mattress. Hope this is helpful.

      • A:

I put it under a mattress pad to protect it as with any other bedding.

      • A:

Thank you all for the response. I chose a different foam pad that came with a topper.

    • Q:

"Will I need to purchase an extra deep pocket fitted sheet if I get this for my bed?"

      • A:

All my sheets I have purchased the past several years fit fine. Most sheets these days come with decent sized pockets. I don't buy "extra" deep pockets, so I don't think they would be required.

      • A:

I would if your putting it on top of your mattress

I have to buy the 24" Deep pocket sheets for my bed. It all depends on the height of the mattress, then add the 4" and see what size sheet you need

      • A:

I think you need the extra deep pocket. You are adding several inches that have to be covered, and without the extra deep pockets I don't think the fitted sheet will go over the bottom corners of the mattress.

      • A:

I would not buy a 4 inch topper without extra deep pockets. My old sheets need mattress clips to keep in place

      • A:

It depends on how deep your mattress is. I had a pillow top mattress and I did need deep pocket sheets.

"I'm looking for more back support. I also have Fibromyalgia - yuck - and too often can't sleep due to back pain. I'm tempted to go all out and get an expensive Temperpedic mattress but it's hard to justify the cost. My existing mattress is ok, just too soft. In the store, the salesperson recommended the medium firm Temperpedic cloud mattress. Can I get away with just this topper? Thanks."

      • A:

We have this topper and it's definently a softie. I wouldn't choose it for back support. It's like sleeping on a very fluffy pillow, and you just sink in, but don't get support. Good luck!

      • A:

I bought it for a similar reason. It makes me a little more comfortable, however it is not very firm. It just Makes my mattress more plush! Hope this helps.

      • A:

Buying memory foam mattresses is expensive. I finally settled on buying a firm interspring mattress with lots of coils, then I purchased this foam topper to go on top. It is perfect! Now if the topper develops divots where we lay I can just replace the topper at a much lower cost than replacing the whole mattress. We've had this topper for a year now and it's still very comfy without feeling like we're sleeping in a rut. I have back problems and arthritis and it's very supportive, yet soft enough to cushion my joints.

      • A:

This is not going to give you more support, I also suffer from a nervous system problem were my entire body Is in pain all the time. I found the topper to help a little but a much sure it's worth the cost when you're really not going to get much relief. It is a nice product anybody else that uses the bed loves it but is just not the answer for peopole like you and I.

      • A:

Like jsp84 I would not recommend this topper for someone requiring firm back support ... we have it for the exact opposite reason, for its softness (as side sleepers it's a great relief from hip/pain), although it is fairly dense and not soft in the flimsy sense.

      • A:

I had a hip and knee replacement and could not get a good night sleep. This mattress topper has given me pure peace of sleep. Being memory foam, it does take time getting use to sinking into the mattress and rolling over. At first I thought it was hard but now it seems perfect. I sleep through the night. I love this topper.

      • A:

Hi, I also have back issues and that's why I originally bought this mattress topper. I too, couldn't justify the cost of a Temperpedic mattress and wanted to go this route first. I love this topper! Make sure that you invest in at least a 4 inch as it has much better support. Before I had the topper, I always woke up with a stiff back and since I have had this topper I have not had any back issues. I have had this topper for about 3 years and even bought one for each of my kids beds too!

"What does a higher lb density mean? I have seen conflicting stats saying 2.5 lb is firm, and 2.5 is medium, 4lb is medium etc.. I am looking for a memory foam topper that is softer, not firmer, so which should I go for?"

      • A:

I like a firmer medium mattress usually but as far as comfort goes, this one has been great. Any memory foam you get is going to take some time getting use to. You sink into this mattress because its 4". It took me about a week to figure out how to turn and roll over comfortable. It is awesome. I think high fiber means it is just that, more dense. Unlike memory foam, regular foam is a little less dense and "thinner feeling. This memory foam is very substantial and won't rip or bunch when you turn or move.

      • A:

The denser it is, the more firm it will be, but I would not buy any less than 4 lb density. It holds up much better and is still soft enough. It also becomes softer with body heat as you lay on it. Anything less is just not supportive enough.

"Will you re-stock the Queen size? Your full is undersized, so I was going to get the Queen and cut it down. (Not a problem, I have the electric knife and space.) I want a reliable 4", 4 lb memory foam topper, but am absolutely NOT interested in a full that is less than standard 54x75". BTW, gel would be nice. Have I overlooked this in a gel version?"

      • A:

Queen size is back in stock - I just ordered one for my bed. I don't think they make this one in a gel version, unfortunately. My son has the full version on his full bed and it is indeed a little smaller than the mattress.

      • A:

I haven't actually measured the topper or the mattress, but It seems to fit my full bed pretty well.

The twin I got for the spare bedroom fits perfectly! First memory foam that has not been too small!

"Product description states Full-size dimensions as 51 inches wide x 72 inches long. A standard full mattress is 54x75. Sure wouldn't know that this topper is 3 inches shorter by looking at the picture!!! It comes right to the edge of the mattress (which is what I want). Which is wrong?"

      • A:

I actually bought the queen size and it fit perfectly, although I have a Sleep Number bed and just unzipped the mattress and it fit right in, so it may just be a tad shorter, but still an awesome topper. Bought it for my son's bed and it is so comfortable. Considering getting another also. Definitely recommend this.

      • A:

Our queen topper is a bit narrow for our older Tempuredic mattress, so you have the right idea if you buy a queen for a full bed. We did put a cover on ours because it is basically a piece of foam. I am happy with it....my husband, not so much. It is a bit too soft for him.

    • Q:

"What is the firmness? Soft, medium, etc"

      • A:

I find the firmness to be soft because it melds to the the contours of your body. I bought one because I was having terrible hip pain and my massage therapist mentioned how much it helped her. After 2 days my hip and leg pain was gone. I highly recommend it.

      • A:

I would say it's soft because you sink into it when you lay on it. I bought this for my sons bed because the mattress was a little firm then I ended buying one for my daughters bed as well because I liked so much!

      • A:

I would say that it is soft. It looks firm sitting on your mattress but is very soft when you settle in. It is not so soft that you push through the 4 inches though once you lay down. In that sense it might be considered medium firmness. I have them on every bed in my house and host on AIr BnB and it is the number one compliment I get.

      • A:

The mattress topper is soft and you really do sink in. Our old no flip latex foam mattress was making our backs hurt so we flipped it to the firm underside and added this topper. No more pain and very comfortable.

      • A:

Very soft, you basically said sink, if your looking for firm support this is not the topper for you. The topper is comfy, but after sleep ping on it for hours my back hurts as it does not provide support, but in saying that, everyone is different and some do not need firm support.

      • A:

Relatively firm. I'm very happy with it (full size). I say this in comparison to my girlfriend's mattress topper which is significantly softer.

      • A:

This is a great topper. We had another brand that was way too stiff. We gave it away & bought another Serta. It's soft, yet supportive enough. Memory foam is wonderful!

      • A:

It is soft, but has proven to keep it's shape. Very comfortable .

      • A:

I feel that the topper is a medium firmness. It offers support while still alleviating any pressure points on your body. It cradles me, but I do not sink into it. This information is provided by a borderline plus-size curvaceous side-sleeping female who has been sleeping on the topper for a few weeks in an air conditioned (cool) room. Body type and room temperature was provided as a reference since it can influence how the topper conforms to you. Hope this helps.

      • A:

I would say that it is fairly soft. I was getting hip pain and this has solved the problem for me. My husband still has problems with pain however. He thinks that it is too soft for him.

"Hello, If I buy this mattress topper for a full size bed, what cover do you have that would fit it best?"

      • A:

I have this in a king size and I use a king size mattress cover, but remember your comforter or bedspread will now be 4 inches higher also and will now show the box spring. Love this though, very comfy.

      • A:

I use a full size mattress cover. Before I was using a full size fitted sheet that covered the foam .. I then placed another fitted sheet and top sheet that.t I slept on. That worked also. Actually my daughter still uses a fitted sheet on her bed as a cover.

      • A:

I had purchased this topper in the king size and also purchased the Down Alternative Gusseted Design Euro Top Cover Item 1016039. It fits perfectly and very well made. The topper is comfortable not too firm and not too soft. I had purchased one for myself and my daughter.

      • A:

Hello Diana. You have to take into consideration that your mattress will increase by about 4 inches. Since I generally use a king size comfortable on a queen size bed, there was little to know impact in how the comfortable hangs. Now sheets, that was a different issue. Meaning I had to purchase sheets with deeper pockets to fit over the mattress and topper. All in all it was/is worth the buy.

"I will be traveling with this so before purchasing I need to know the weight in pounds of the 4inch King memory foam mattress. Thanks!"

      • A:

The mattress topper is approximately 60 pounds in the king size.

      • A:

It's heavy! And large, & once it's expanded it's very unwieldy. When we have moved, we've rolled it up, pulled a large construction sized trash bag over one end, then repeated that on the other end...taped the bags together. This was a king, if you have a smaller sized bed, it would be lighter, of course. Still, for traveling, I would try to make do with a thinner memory foam topper.
