  • Luxurious Look!
    Verified Purchase

Let me start by saying this, when I made my purchase, there were no color labels on the product photo to tell me which was which. I ended up looking at the photo for the coordinating sheet set to guide me in selecting my color, and am so happy that I did! Now, in looking at the color labels they have added to their stock photo, I believe they have made errors. I ordered the CAFE color (rich antique gold/dijon), which much more closely resembles the color they currently have labeled as 'honey'. The product arrived quickly and you can't beat the price/shipping! I am a seamstress and ordered a king size w/the intention to customize it for a family member's queen size bed, so I can not speak to it's fit out of the package. The buttons were well attached and stay hidden, and the seams were all well sewn. It washes up beautifully, and true to cotton of this thread count, requires a light press. The king sz shams are very nice, w/an elongated envelope closure and stitched to have the traditional 2 in fabric border. The look is luxe and the maintenance minimal! I would purchase again without hesitation, but would again reference the matching sheets to make my color selection.

  • Wrinkles, but nice!
    Verified Purchase

I usually go with white but I decided to go with the teal. In some lights it seems more green than blue, but overall very pretty. Not too flashy (not girly and not manly, very neutral). My husband and I both like it! Wrinkles when washing but I'm not picky. Reverses to solid color, which is a great for a change! Seems like good quality- button closure with buttons that seem like they are sewn on very well. The button opening extends all the way across the bottom, which some duvets don't. Overall we love it!

  • Really great purchase!
    Verified Purchase

I am definitely happy with this duvet cover! I ordered several for comparison (from overstock.com and other websites) and this was by far my favorite. Its soft, versatile, and the teal is a very pretty color. The damask stripes are subtle but add interest, and the reversible aspect allows you to have a nice detail where the cover is folded down. I plan to screenprint my own design on the solid sign. Washes well with only moderate wrinkles. I've also noticed that this duvet doesn't attract and hold pet hair like some fabrics do. Our dog lays against it at the end of the bed every night, but there is no sign of it whatsoever. Overall, just love it!

  • Luxury at cheap price!
    Verified Purchase

I was terrified to receive this duvet. I knew it wouldn't be exactly as pictured (color, mainly) or as described.... especially for the price! I couldn't believe my EYES once this baby arrived. The color (CAFE) was PERFECT... exactly as I'd wanted, which made me feel like an automatic winner. Then I had to wash it... scared, once again. Came out beautifully (with touch-up ironing of the shams), and now I'm sleeping in more comfort than I can remember! Nice and thick, like you've checked into a great hotel :). Wish I had more beds that needed duvet covers. FANTASTIC DUVET COVER... FANTASTIC PRICE!!!

  • Keeps Your Comforter in Place!
    Verified Purchase

I ended up purchasing this 3-piece Duvet Cover Set and I am really glad I did. My down comforter was in need of being covered and I wanted something lightweight that would keep the comforter from shifting within. This Duvet has done the trick. It holds the comforter in place, doesn't add too much weight (At one time, we had a cover that really was too heavy so I removed it and kept the comforter uncovered until I found this duvet) and the color matched our room perfectly. Thanks Overstock for offering this product!

  • Duvet is great quality
    Verified Purchase

This is a very nice duvet. The low sheen of the cotton material makes the colors look richer not dull. I ordered the brown, like the solid color side brown , the stripe side with the sheen makes it appear lighter then the solid side. This is a heavier weight fabric, which I wish was listed in the description. I was looking for something that was a little softer feeling then this fabric. Even after washing twice, it still had the feeling of a lightly starched shirt. But if you want a look that is crisp , this is it.

  • COLOR DID NIO MATCH
    Verified Purchase

When I received this cover the color I ordered (cafe) turned out to be a rather nasty gold/mustard color not the beige/coffee color I was expecting. It didn't go with my decor at all. Overstock were great when I contacted them and allowed me to return it free of charge. That's why I immediately went on line and ordered another set in a color that should work better. Good customer service is so rare that it is a real pleasure to find a company that still practices it!

  • Terrible quality!
    Verified Purchase

I purchased this duvet cover thinking that it would fit my king sized duvet without it bunching up on the inside. I prewashed it prior to putting my duvet inside. This washed horribly. Not only did it shrink and wrinkle, but little holes in the fabric appeared in several places all over the cover, buttons became loose, and strings/hems began to unravel. I washed it by itself in an extra large capacity washer and dryer with plenty of room to move around. I've never had this problem before. I went ahead and put it on my bed, and it had shrunk so much that my duvet bunched up on the inside. If I had kept my original packaging, it definitely would have been returned. On the upside, the felt very nice coming out of the package (which is why I threw away the packaging, not realizing it would fall apart in the wash), the color was pretty and was exactly as it appeared online, and the shipping was very fast. However, it was a total waste of money.

  • Nice quality - a bit lite for 600TC
    Verified Purchase

Nice cover. It is quite sateen-ey. Color is a bit more vibrant than the website seemed to show. Seems to be well constructed and at 600TC is nice and smooth.

  • Would not buy
    Verified Purchase

My order came with bedbugs. I opened the package and a bug fell out onto the floor - and there were stains on the cover. It has been a huge nightmare to get rid of the bugs.

  • A little thick and off on the color...
    Verified Purchase

The color was described as either as beige or the like, but there is much more yellow in the hue. The duvet is 'thicker'...not as soft as I expected. Well made, but not as luxurious as I thought they might be for 600 thread count.

  • Pretty Nice
    Verified Purchase

My duvet had some strange concentrated dyeing issues in a corner, but it isn't a deal breaker for the price that it was purchased. This duvet isn't entirely soft, but it is warm.

  • Very nice but
    Verified Purchase

I loved these when i got them . I said id buy another set in other colours. I washed them before putting them on my bed and they felt so soft i didnt want to use my other sets. On my second wash i took them out of the dryer still a little damp and 1 of the pillow cashes was completly seperated down the whole seam, very unhappy as it was a delicate cold was and low dryer. I sewed it up and on my third wash same thing on the other pillow

  • Didn't want sateen, but...
    Verified Purchase

I was trying to find a duvet cover that wasn't sateen. (Yeah, good luck with that.) The information on this one didn't say that it was, so I took a chance. I like it anyway. It appeared to be made well. I got the ivory. Had to cover it immediately with a sheet because as soon as my cat jumped on it, her claws started picking at the fabric. So, I never get to see it. I guess that's life with the four-leggeds. I bought this mostly because of the price. I'll probably make my next one. I can't for the life of me figure out why most of these covers are so expensive. It's just two sheets sewn together with buttons. This one came with shams. I haven't used them.

  • Good item
    Verified Purchase

This is a bit stiff, which surprises me because I thought that a higher thread count meant it was softer. Certainly that's been the case in the past. I assume it'll soften with time. It held up fine in the initial wash and looks pretty good on the bed, although it does wrinkle easily, so those concerned with such things will want to iron it. Since it's bedding, I don't care, but I know there are those folks out there who wouldn't buy it if it wrinkled.

  • color washed out during first wash
    Verified Purchase

Out of the package, the duvet covers and shams looked great: nice colors, nice fabric. Then I washed them, since I always wash these types of products before using them. I was very disappointed when the teal set (both duvet cover and shams) came out with several big splotches of light pinkish color on top of areas which had lost some of their teal color. The light green set was also not perfect: the color didn't change, but the duvet cover had a few small smudges, not too noticeable. I'm pretty sure all of these color problems were due to a manufacturer's defect in the dyeing process. I returned the teal set for a full refund and kept the light green set, because I like the color a lot, and I also like the substantial weight of the fabric. You can plan on having to iron these items, even after taking them directly out of the dryer, as I did. All in all, I'd say this is a very nice product, if you are willing to risk getting a defective set and going through the trouble of returning it.
