Beautiful! Right out of the box the quilt is soft and ready to use. There was a bit of a "new" smell but was remedied by simply leaving the set out of the packaging for a day or two before placing it on the bed. I encourage you to think about what you're looking for and how your particular bedding choices will be before ordering. We have a queen size bed and the full/queen size quilt just wasn't quite enough for what we wanted. From the floor to the top edge of our mattress is just around 28". If we were planning on a bedskirt or a larger coordinating quilt or spread to go under the Marley quilt, the full/queen would have been fine. However, we wanted a bit more of the Marley quilt hanging down on the sides so we returned the queen and ordered a king. King shams come with the king quilt so keep that in mind as well if you're ordering for a queen bed. I would consider the quilt to be a warm yet lightweight quilt and the stitching appears to be of good quality. The colors are rich and mostly true to the picture shown (the blue is a nice mix of both navy and royal but appears more navy in the picture).
This is a wonderful item! I washed it before putting it on my bed, and it washed up beautifully. There was no fading in the wash and it came out of the dryer (low setting) wrinkle-free. I ordered a full/queen for my queen-sized bed, and it hangs low enough on both sides of the bed to cover the top sheet and mattress. The colors are just as shown in the picture: a light creamy-white background with accents of brown fading to bluish-gray, soft aqua blue fading to bright teal-royal blue, and lime green. The accent pillows were well-constructed, with the smallest one embroidered with shiny thread. (There were a few loose threads on this pillow I needed to clip, but no big deal.) The fabric is soft polyester but feels more like suede-cloth. The binding, which is dark teal-royal blue encases the entire quilt. The "quilting" is machine stitched, and the backing is a lovely soft aqua color. You could even reverse it if the pattern is too much for you! The shams are of the same quality construction. The quilt is light-weight, definitely a summer quilt, but here in California I will use it year-round. I am really pleased with this quilt.
Nice bright colors! I haven't washed it yet because I was too lazy to go to the laundromat and we only have an apartment-sized washing machine. Therefore I don't know what its durability is or colorfastness. It's also not as soft as I hope it will end up, since it's all cotton. I love LOVE the colors though, and the size is perfect for my full-size bed. I'm not sure I'd be as happy if I had a Queen, though. (Ain't that always the case with "size Full/Queen"!)
The pattern is very bright and attractive and it makes the room look so much nicer than the dull blue that was there before. Only problem I have is that a full/queen size is not very generous in length or width. Would have preferred a real queen rather than a combination, but I know that many come that way.
