We have a California King Platform Bed. I wanted something that was not too boring, not too neutral and not too masculine of feminine. This fit the bill perfectly. I was amazed that it is long enough to work beautifully on the Cal King which is 6 inches longer than a regular king bed. The colors are subtle without being boring and even though it is a quilt, it has a nice contemporary look to it. My only quibble would be that there are ties on the shams to keep them closed. I am not crazy about that look so I am cutting them down to about an inch long and sewing a dot of Velcro to each one to give them a more tailored look. The weight is just right and it looked terrific coming right out of the package and onto the bed. I give this product a huge thumbs up!
Was disappointed with the fact this was advertised as a quilt (which I thought I was ordering) but turned out to be a spread. Oh well I liked it well enough to keep and use it anyway
So, I had purchased another quilt set and was looking for a complimenting color/pattern. The black and white (it's definitely black and white, not gray and white) checkered/dot pattern on the back looks great with the other set. My husband and I have to have separate blankets and I thought a twin of this one would be good for me. As far as the color and pattern and the overall size of the quilt, it's perfect. However, it is a little stiff. I washed it before I used it and threw in extra fabric softeners to soften it up. The other quilt set I bought is very soft and cozy. This one was warm enough for me and the quilt fabric is soft, just less flexible blanket. I'm hoping after a few washes it'll be better. I do love how it looks on the bed, though and I will continue to use it.
