  • Im disappointed with this product, actually I had to return the first piece that was shipped to me because many sections (squares) where almost empty. The return for exchange was fast, and the item sent this time is better, but still does not meet the specifications mentioned in the product descriptions. A few sections have very little down and only the borders (specially the corners) are richly stuffed with down, the rest of the comforter is very uneven. I don't recommend this product, specially for cold nights.

My wife loves it enough that she keeps it all year round and just lets most of it hang on the floor so she can stay cool with just the corner. very nice comforter for a great price!

  • It Does It's Job....
    Verified Purchase

I purchased this 5 years ago and recently got rid of it due to allergies. It is good quality and light weight. It did have a smell when it arrived, but that dissipates in a few days. It is filled with at least 75% white down, which was the deciding factor....the brand name is "Blue Ridge", if that means anything to you. Recently, right before I got rid of it, I noticed that most of the filling had shifted to the edges. I'm not sure if thats because at some point I machine washed and dried it (with woolite in cold water) or because the stitching was not secure enough. Maybe down really should be dry cleaned.

  • Fresh and Warm. I love it.
    Verified Purchase

I bought this comforter after shopping around for about a week and went with this one because it was oversized, had white goose down, was a baffle box construction, was fluffy, and because of the many good reviews. I have no problems with feathers coming out or a scent like other reviewers noted. I did notice that some of the stitching wasn't complete on some of the squares. Overall I think it's great. Very soft and luxurious. I Love how soft and fluffy it is. For living in San Antonio, Tx, the blanket does get you a little too warm at night sometimes. I also saw on the tag that it says minimum of 75% down. I don't know what the rest is filled with. The price is okay. If I decide to get another one I think I would try one that's cheaper in price. For the price I didn't expect some stitching to not be complete, no feathers coming out but the feathers are going into other squares which is the whole reason I was looking for baffle box. That's why I give it 4 stars.

  • Feathers Feathers Everywhere!
    Verified Purchase

I love the look and feel of this comforter, but can't take the feathers that are slipping out all over the place. I have had it now for several months and have the comforter packed inside TWO duvet covers...and still feathers are everywhere. I am thinking to replace it with a down alternative comforter since I just can't take it any more!

Every few years I revisit this site because I'm always unsure whether I should leave it on the better not in the summertime. But even as the reviews are updated by more recent purchasers I am convinced leaving on the bed for the summer is totally fine. I guess I've been lucky because none of the comments that I read on the negative side have been anything close to my experience. I have a queen size bed if its well I've never had any complaints and any guests keeps me warm in the winter and Koolish in the summer because basically I keep is folded down and only put it on in the summertime as dawn breaks and it's a little chillier in the house. I also keep it in a duvet which seems to help it do whatever it does and every few years I get it dry cleaned. My research strongly suggested that this is a comforter that requires dry cleaning because there is the possibility that the down could get clumped I'm putting it into a washing machine and gas dryer. I live in apartment in New York City. I see this comforter is unavailable and if it became available again I might consider purchasing a second one for other purposes.

This was a gift to my wonderful daughter-in-law who's always cold. This product worked. I bring it to the dry cleaners but recently found out the laundromat works well with the big machines and saves $25. in cleaning. Good Product

  • So Comfy!!
    Verified Purchase

This blanket is amazing and would be great for year round weather. Keeps you warm but is airy and breathable at the same time. I would definitely reccomend it. Only problem is that I have noticed that the feathers tend to fall out. A duvet cover is pretty necessary with this one.

Feathers are everywhere. It's a shame because it is very soft and good material. The feathers are all over my room. It's horrible. Look for a different comforter with better reviews. I will be throwing this one out!

  • Supima down comforter

Love this fabric! It has a smooth silky feel to it, and seems tightly woven. I'm very particular about my bedding, and recently returned another brand because it was like sleeping under a bag of potato chips. Not this baby...no annoying crunch here. The comforter also seems evenly filled, and though it hasn't had much time to fluff up yet, I'm already happy with its loft . I have bought down comforters that cost more than twice this price, and the quality of this one is right on par with those. VERY satisfied!

I have had this comfortor for more than two years, My wife is always cold and she loves it. I'm always hot and I hate it. It keeps her warm in the winter and it feels soft and comfortable. I on the other hand don't use it since I sweat in the winter with the A/C on.

  • Great Fabric...
    Verified Purchase

The fabric is excellent, it's very soft...however as far as it being a "comforter" I think it's closer to being a nice heavy sheet.. If you were going to use two comforters on your bed then maybe this would work for you, otherwise I would not recommend it, but that's just me.

Overstock has the BEST deals on down comforters. Beautiful fabric, baffel boxed to keep down where it belongs. Corded edge gives it a finished look. I bought two. We all deserve a soft down comforter! I recommend this one.

  • Pretty good
    Verified Purchase

I really like my blanket. The only problem I have with it is that I loose some of the feathers. The itty bitty ones seem to fall out of the blanket quite a bit. I havent ever owned a nice down blanket so Im not sure if a bit of "shedding" is normal or not. Overall its a very fluffy and soft blanket.
