I have these in two different bedrooms and love them! Our guest always comment on how high end they look. They have a gorgeous sheen to them. They show well in the rooms. I love them!

  • Love it!

I love the two duvet covers I've bought recently from Overstock. Some reveiws I've seen complain that the material is "thin". There are two kinds of covers; those from heavier materials that are used as a formal bedspread - usually used with a flat top sheet, to sleep under - or the soft cotton like this one that is perfect for using as a sheet AND a bedspread. Having lived in Europe for 20 years, we prefer to sleep directly under the duvet.

  • Great quality and great value
    Verified Purchase

I ordered the gray duvet and it looks great in my bedroom which is mostly neutrals (grays, beiges/camels, with metallic accents).. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is made of a cotton sateen and has a nice, subtle sheen to it. The fabric is fairly tightly woven and has a good weight to it (like a good quality sheet). My only complaint is that there are no ties inside to hold the comforter in place. Other than that, I would recommend this highly.

  • Grey duvet cover
    Verified Purchase

I ordered the set in grey and I'm really happy with it. I would not describe the color as grey however--there is a grey-like shade in the pattern, but the rest of the colors in the print are so warm (cream, tan, etc) that the overall dominant effect is more like a beige or taupe, just warmer than a true grey. I nearly ordered the mocha, thinking the grey set would be too stark, and I'm glad I didn't. Photos on the website of each individual color would be helpful! Just the same, I eenie meenie miney moe'd it, and it works perfectly in my room with taupe walls, white trim and espresso bedroom set. Very happy. Fit is perfect. Quality is good. No defects or stitching problems. The pattern is interesting without being overpowering. Comes out of the package with a chemical odor, need to launder before using. Would have preferred a stripe or contrasting print on the reverse, but I bought a set of white shadow striped sheets at the same time, and it provides a little contrast in a sophisticated way. Sorry for the rambling but point being, I'd definitely recommend the set. Looks really nice.

  • Great deal. Just what I was looking to purchase.

Wasn't sure about the pattern at first but we have a dog that loves our comforter as much as we do. The pattern masks the paw prints that sometimes just happen. Haven't washed it yet, but cotton feels soft and I think it will wash very well.

  • Almost a 5
    Verified Purchase

I was having trouble finding twin size duvet covers that aren't childlike (I use two twin duvets on our king-size bed to avert the "quit stealing my covers" debate) and that are in the grey family. I was very pleased to find these duvet covers at a reasonable price. They are very soft, comfortable and attractive. I would gave them a 5-star rating, but one of the covers was not sewn well at the top; there were several holes on the seam where the edges weren't sewn together. Instead of taking the time to return them, I took a couple minutes to run it through the sewing machine. With that being said, the other cover was sewn perfectly. I am pleased with my purchase overall, and the duvet covers are currently residing on our bed.

Questions & Answers

  • Q:

"Will the twin fit a twin xl."

    • A:

Not really! They are made for standard sizes. Not a lot of room left over for a longer size quilt but a regular size quilt could be used on a longer bed!

    • A:

The details give the measurements for the duvet cover. This should answer the question: "Twin Dimensions: Duvet cover: 68 inches wide x 90 inches long" Hope this helps.

  • Q:

"Would the blue set look better with a white or cream bed skirt?"

    • A:

Personally, I think it would look best in cream :)

    • A:

White is probably too much of a contrast, I would match the blue set with cream.

    • A:

I think the white would be a better choice

    • A:

I think either would look fine, but I would go with cream.

    • A:

cream would work better.Especially if you can find a shade that matches any of the cream tones in the duvet.

    • A:

I have the blue set, and despite the fact that there is some white in the pattern, I would prefer a cream skirt. I purchased a navy skirt, which works well. Also, you may want to consider a gold skirt.

    • A:

I would use a cream skirt to match the cream color of the duvet.

  • Q:

"I am a bit confused as to the colour choices. There is an obvious red, blue and grey and then a paler more orange one, not sure if this is considered to be the mocha or gold? Does anybody know?"

    • A:

Hi, The orangeish one is "gold" and "mocha" is the light tan looking one. Hope this helps.

    • A:

Hi Debbie! I believe..... The yellowish/orange one is considered "Gold" The pale beige-y one is considered "Mocha" Even tho orange is my favorite color, I ordered the "red" just to change up the color scheme in our home a bit so it wasn't all burnt orange throughout the whole house! We really love the red, it adds nice warmth to our bedroom! The "Gold" (yellow/orange) would have been my second choice! : ) Good Luck! Tough to figure the colors on this one.....would have been much easier for all of us if they labeled each one for us! I think we're all figuring it out by process of elimination! ; )

    • A:

I bought a twin sheet set in gold and a queen duvet cover set in red for another bed. The red is more rust color and the gold is orange and gold. The only negative thing I have to say about these items is that the pillow covers that came with the duvet set are really small. Don't fit my pillows at all.

    • A:

The "Gold" also contains olive green that looks gray in the pictures, and a dark chocolate brown, and a tiny bit of a tan/camel color. In addition to the gold color and the dark earthy red.

    • A:

yes I agree the lighter is the mocha -- hope this helps with your decision

    • A:

The red really isn't a true red, more of a wine/burgundy. And the other colors are green and gold. There is no gray, picture is a bit deceiving. But I'm very happy with the purchase.

    • A:

If you scroll through the smaller pictures under the main one, the second view has each of the colors labeled. Yes the 2nd one up from the bottom of the bed is the Mocha.

"It seems like everything I buy anymore shrinks when washed even when it states on the tag it is washable. I use cold water and line dry yet it still happens. The cost doesn't seem to make a difference. Even expensive ones shrink. Is sending them out to by dry cleaned an option if the tag doesn't say to dry clean?"

    • A:

The duvet and sheets washed very well. They did not shrink nor lose color. I was even able to put them in the dryer without a problem.

    • A:

I wish I could help you, but I have had no problems with mine. Perhaps they were manufactured by two different companies or marked improperly?

    • A:

no problem with shrinkage...I washed them before using (everything gets washed in cold water).....BUT I try not to use the dryer alot for my things! Try putting them in the dryer for a few minutes then take them to a laundry line for fresh air and continued drying....it's magic!

    • A:

I washed mine in cold water alsobefore usinging, and had no issues with shrinkage or color loss. They were somewhat wrinkled afterwards & could have used a light ironing, but I'm not big on ironing thing, so I put them on as is and within a few days they smoothed out nicely.

"I want to buy 2 sets, one in red and one in gold. However, I can't tell from the scrolling pictures which sets are associated with these 2 color names. Can I get a picture of the red and a picture of the gold so I''m sure I'm getting what I want? If so, "

    • A:

I have purchased two sets, the gold, which is very distinctive in the picture as well as the grey. I love them both. I can view the red easily and tell the difference between the other shades so not sure why you are unable. When you order just stipulate the size and gold, and size in red.....unless I am missing something in your question, you should have no trouble at all......hope this helps.

    • A:

Gold is on the left and red is on the right. Have you been tested for colorblindness? Some ppl who can't see red, see it as brown or grey.

    • A:

I purchased the red and I love it. It shows dark red not bright, i would call it barn red. The duvet also shows antique gold and natural ecru background. In my opinion the red choice would go with red and gold!

    • A:

The gold is the first color you see in the main picture all the way to the left when looking at the screen, the red is the one that we made the bed with. I hope this helps.

    • A:

I purchased the blue. I think that these items are a good value and lovely. I do have to iron them every time I wash them, but that seems to be the case with EVERY duvet I have, regardless of the cost. No problems with them. Nice fabric.

    • A:

These sets are a very good value for the money. Nice fabric...but i do have to iron them after washing and drying; however, that is the case with all the duvets I've purchased regardless of the cost. I like the colors...purchased the blue.

    • A:

I purchased the red (which I like a lot), and later purchased the gold (which I don't care for). The "Gold" is very yellow and orange -- does not look very sophisticated in my opinion. I DO like the lightweight fabric as it is perfect for Colorado summer nights. It stays looking smooth between washings. I am looking to make my own bed-skirt to co-ordinate with the red one that we have in the master, along with a couple of pillows to tie things together.

    • A:

I purchased the gold one and it was true to the picture in the advertisement. Hope this helps!

    • A:

Sandra..not a silly question at all! The gold is the greenish one and red is the darker reddish. There was a pic I saw that actually labeled the duvet colors:)

  • Q:

"I have not read anyone purchasing the mocha color cover. Why is there a different price quoted from all the other colors? also could you describe the colors in a bit more detail.?"

    • A:

I bought the mocha... It's very soft and thin. I put a old comforter in mine to fill it up. I don't feel like it looked much like the picture but I do enjoy the lightness of the fabric. Colors are very muted. I think the price is more for mocha because it's a more in demand color palette.

    • A:

I bought this duvet Red. It is a form of paisley with an Indian influence design. It is heavenly, The fabric l is manifactured in a Tight weave and a blanket can be inseerted into the duvet with easy to button closures., It washes beautifully, Dry it on delicate. I use it as an overlay. I bought a King Size and it works well as a spreadon our Quee size bed. The matching shams are elegant. I am not a mocha gal. But if that color works with your room scheme, I would recommend buying it. It is a very good value in my opinion. I usually do not respond to these queries, everyone has a different perception of what is so.

    • A:

I bought this in the mocha. We have a room painted gray (Benjamin Moore-Revere Pewter) which is a beige/gray wall, and actually the mocha duvet cover ends up looking more like the wall color, which is perfect. Love the gold/gray colors in the duvet cover. Thumbs up!

    • A:

I love the mocha color as it goes great in my room. Didn't realize it was more expensive than the other colors. The cover is soft and lightweight which is perfect for us.

    • A:

The darkest brown color is muted (not a rich dark brown) and it is mixed in with a combination of colors – tan/khaki color plus some very pale olive green. I think it was a higher price because it is more neutral in color than the others. I also bought the gold too and it is very bright. They are very soft and not heavy weight.

    • A:

As far as price is concerned, I don't know. But the mocha is a very neutral and warm pattern that works very well in my space. There are a fair amount of charcoal and yellow hues to it. I like the feel and weight of the fabric, it is a nice duvet cover.

    • A:

I purchased the mocha duvet cover. I love it. It really is more on the reddish color and has lots of green and gold in it. It is beautiful and has worked out perfect for the colors in our bedroom.

    • A:

The colors are more red, with green and gold in it. It really is very pretty. Another person stated it is soft and thin. It is which makes it lighter than many duvet covers and easier to handle.

    • A:

I bought this item but am not satisfied with the size. King size to cover the box springs needs to be at least 108 or preferably 110 in width. I have been looking for a comforter in teal or aqua and have yet to find one the proper size.

  • Q:

"I would like to order the blue set but am worried about the color not being as pictured. Is it gold, turquoise, and navy blue?"

    • A:

I bought the gold color. It was very true to the pictures online. Very happy with this product, very soft cotton.

    • A:

I'd say the gold and turquoise dominate, with navy and cream accents. I found the set to be as pictured. Additionally it launders well; no pilling or fading in nine months. You'll want to iron the edges of the shams to keep them crisp, though.

    • A:

I bought the red and the gold colored sets and love them. I think the close up photo of my two colors sets were identical to what I received. I would examine that zoomed in photo and would expect it to represent it well. BTW, they hold their color well and wash and dry easily, and the fabric feels nice!

    • A:

The gold is very bright - almost yellow. The other colors are turquoise an navy/cobalt. It was much brighter than I expected but I've gotten used to it and makes the room very cheerful.

    • A:

I would say gold, navy, sky blue not so much turquoise. But the light blue next to the navy does make it look like aqua in certain light.

    • A:

It is, exactly. The gold is very, very pretty and then there is a soft, lighter, turquoise...and navy. Somehow, it ends up coordinating beautifully with teal, which is the color of my sheer curtains and area rug. The material, too, is very soft, almost has a sheen to it, feels silky on my bed. Just FYI, I ended u liking the duvet and shams so well I ordered the matching sheets: Same colors, but not as rich and nowhere near as silky smooth.

    • A:

Hi Birdie, Mine didn't have any navy blue. It's gold, red (not blue red, but not orange thank God!) I has some turquoise and different shades of green........it is mostly red and gold........very pretty!

    • A:

Birdie, I ordered the Tan and Brown and my wife said it is true to the photo.

    • A:

I bought the red, and it is EXACTLY the same as the photo. I also got the sheets. Regardless of the color, this is a quality product you won't be disappointed in. The fabric is like a silky smooth soft twill. I love hopping into bed when these sheets are on! Just a side note, Overstock is great about returns. If you don't like the color, just return it! I'm planning on buying a couple more for kids for gifts. I think they will love the paisley, but more so, they will love the soft but strong sheets and duvet. Hope this helps!

    • A:

The colors are very true to picture, very happy.

    • A:

I bought this and am very happy. The total color appearance would be primarily blue with the gold accents. It has the navy blue and turquoise coloring with the gold. I have light aqua walls and this is a beautiful compliment. The colors are as pictured.

    • A:

I ordered gray and it was right on.

"The red. Does it have a lot of orange too?"

    • A:

No it dies not, it's all red

    • A:

The photo of the Red is pretty close to it's true color. It is not a true red red but what I would call a beautiful Terricotta or Tuscan Red as the main color with tones of holden tan, rich purple, wine and green colors...love love love....ordered the coordinating sheets also...very high quality soft to the touch fabric!

    • A:

The color you might think to be orange is more of a golden tan. There is a good bit of hunter green in it as well. I hope tis helps.

    • A:

yes there is a lot of orange!

    • A:

      No orange...

    • A:

The red is a deep dark red close to a maroon or deep brick red. There is no orange at all. Deep dark red, hunter green, gold and off white. I purchased Walmart brand brick red pillow cases and bed skirt and match it perfectly. Sheets and duvet are very good quality for the price. Love it!

    • A:

No orange - mostly red. Beautiful

    • A:

I would like to tell you that the red color is a beautiful deep barn red. Not bright lipstick red. You will be impressed, as they wash beautifully and are so smooth and soft, but also strong!

    • A:

      Definitely red - not orange

    • A:

The duvet is not true to photo brightness- the sheets photo is a better idea of the color - red has no orange color - mostly red/green very disappointing

  • Q:

"do you have curtain treatments that match the duvet order 3 168792493"

    • A:

This cover set does not have matching window treatments at this time.

    • A:

I have white lace curtains that looks great with the blue one I purchased.

    • A:

You could order an extra duvet for the fabric and make curtains.

    • A:

Just a personal suggestion, but since they have matching sheets, that might be an easier option to make window treatments from - I've done this a few times and the flat sheet is a lot of fabric so I would remove the elastic from the bottom fitted sheet and lay it flat to measure because you would likely want window treatments all the same size.
