Lumpy after washing
Product Option: King - Cream
I've purchased this same blanket at least three other times in the past ten years and this is the first time experiencing lumps after washing. About seven of the squares in the blanket, all in different places, had bunched-up filling after being washed for the first time. I didn't notice when it came out of the washing machine, but upon drying the blanket and putting it on the bed it was obvious. It looked like balls of socks were stuck via static cling under the blanket. Nope! That's just the bunched up stuffing. (eye roll) I'm disappointed because all other makes of this same blanket I purchased had zero issues. This seems like it could be a design, manufacturing, or a quality control flaw.

Could not be happier

I ordered the Madison Park Prospect Lightweight Down Alternative Blanket with Satin Trim for myself during Black Friday week. I was looking for a lightweight blanket for my bed that would also keep me warm in the colder months as I am definitely a warm sleeper. I searched for and tried a couple of higher priced ($150 plus) blankets, but they just weren't right. I saw this blanket, and after looking at the pictures, somehow it just looked like what I was looking for. It just looked comfortable. I read the reviews and a lot of the negative and even some of the positive reviews said that this blanket was very thin or too thin. It may sound crazy, but this is what I was looking for. I took a chance and bought the blanket. Even though I have a queen bed, I ordered the Charcoal in King. I was a little skeptical at first because The blanket is indeed very thin and lightweight as numerous reviews state, but at the same time also quite warm when coupled with my Eucalyptus sheets. To those who think that this blanket is very thin or too thin, all I can say is it is after all a lightweight blanket as the description states. It is not a comforter. It is supposed to be thin. I could not be happier with my Madison Park Prospect Lightweight Down Alternative Blanket. It does not make any noise like other down alternative blankets or comforters sometimes do. For the price, warmth and comfort; this is absolutely the best blanket I could have hoped to find. Light weight

Compared to the older Laura Ashley blanket I was replacing, this one is lighter in weight and "alternative down". It is also just a few inches smaller but still fits the bed. I usually get a size larger than the actual mattress so I am sure I can tuck in the ends and sides. I'm glad I did because otherwise this would have been a large "throw blanket" rather than one I could easily tuck under the mattress and keep on the bed as a blanket. My mattress is 11-12 inches thick. It makes for a nice summer weight or hot sleeper blanket.

Because these blankets are bound on all sides, it is often difficult to know which is the correct way to put it on the bed. On the positive side, the color selection is great.
