Wonderful sheets! Purchased Ivory 1st, then sage. These sheets are great but do need a "breaking in time" as is the case with most high TC bedding. Because they are thick heavy sheets you really need to wash them probably a dozen cycles to start feeling just how soft they become. I have similar quality white sheets, also Egyptian cotton, they have been washed multiple times the past yr & now are sooooo!!!! soft. What you're paying for is the density of weaving, that's what "thread count" means, to those not accustomed to this they may seem heavy & even a little scratchy at 1st. Once broken in, you'll love them & sleep so well you'll never go back and they will last for many yrs, they are an investment. RE: wrinkling issue, 1st they are cotton, 2nd launder as recommended, 3rd dry top & bottom sheets separately with a tennis ball in the dryer (old trick) that keeps them from "balling up", 4th fold & stack nicely; this should smooth out most of the wrinkles. I alternate my linens, touch up top sheet/ pillow cases with iron & my bed always looks & feels WONDERFUL!!! Overstock is great, prices can't be beat & customer service is fab. Invest in these linens, you'll be glad you did (WHAT'S MORE IMPORTANT THAN OUR SLEEP?)
Felt the need the leave a review after sorting through countless contradictory posts about not only these, but all the bedding on here in general. Yes, everybody has different tastes about their sleep preferences, but let me give a neutral review. They are definitely not "like sleeping on burlap." They are very smooth and crisp, although like all other cotton sheets they get a little softer after each wash. They are pretty lightweight, you can see light through them if held up to one. Unless you are sleeping without a blanket though, this shouldn't be a problem and is actually pretty great on those hot summer nights when you kick your heavy comforter off and just have these. I happen to love these sheets because of the crisp feel, but if you're looking for something more akin to a blanket, heavy and velvety soft, then these are not for you. But the cool, crisp and smooth feel makes me never want to get out of bed in the morning! Not to mention I got them in king size for less than $100, which is an amazing price for this great set of sheets.
I originally bought a set of these sheets in Cal King Medium Blue. I loved them so much that I bought two sets of the matching King pillowcases, and another sheet set and two more pillowcase sets in the Sage color. The 1500 TC pillowcase colors match the 1500 TC sheets perfectly, and are as pictured. Both Medium Blue sheets and pillowcases are a saturated medium blue color, although the Sage color is slightly less saturated than the picture on my monitor shows. Both Med Blue and Sage feel and look to be very expensive and high-quality. The sheets are very deep, and easily fit my 14 inch mattress with a mattress pad underneath, with room to spare. But People, PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH before you buy high Thread Count sheets. Don't give low reviews, or waste your money, simply because you were ignorant of what you were ordering. High TC sheets start out being heavy and a little stiff when you first open the package, but they soften up by washing and using them. The higher the TC, the heavier the sheets, so these sheets are heavy. Lower thread count sheets will be initially more pliable and more "airy" feeling, because there are fewer threads per square inch, so they actually are more airy since there is more air between threads. If you like light weight, airy sheets, get low TC or cotton-blend sheets. Initial softness in cotton sheets depend on the quality of the cotton used, and whether they have been pre-softened before you buy them. Having your sheets pre-softened means that they are usually more expensive, because of the extra time and processes involved. These sheets have not been pre-softened, so we are able to buy them cheaper than you would otherwise. Also note that all cotton sheets, especially higher TC sheets, WILL WRINKLE and take more time to dry! If you have multiple sets, which I recommend, fold the other set when it comes out of the dryer, putting your folded pillowcases between the bottom and top sheets so the weight naturally presses them, and put the set away. When you take them out to change sheets, the folded set will have lost most of the wrinkles. By alternating sheet sets, and folding the unused set, you shouldn't have to iron your sheets. If you are still unsatisfied with your minor wrinkles, or if you only have one set, you can iron your sheets if it really bugs you. These particular sheets are beautiful and have held up well after washing. They are exactly what you would expect from 1500 TC sheets, will last forever, and are far less expensive on the big O than elsewhere.
Have contunued to purchase all our linen from Overstock.com due to the excellent quality of all Egyption Cotton Sets of thread count over 1000. I needed larger pillow cases to match my prior purchase of sheets from Overstock.com and was pleased to find this set of oversize pillow cases to fit our large pillows. Once you buy and use any of these 1000 to 1200 thread count egyptian cotton linen you will never settle for anything less. The price is right and comfort for my bed where we all spend 25% to 33% of our day is worth spending a little extra to me. Overstock.com makes the savings and value make me feel great the other 75 plus percent of my day.
Finally, a extra deep pocket sheet that actually fits my thick mattress with a featherbed on top and still had lots of room. The quality of these sheets is excellent. These are a heavy, soft sheet, very large so have lots of room. They do recommend washing in cold water but with the size of these sheets I don't see how they could shrink so much in hot water that you couldn't use them. They have a thick elastic band around them and are made to actually fit the corners. I plan to order another set. I see where these sheets are well over *** & I can see why. The feel is amazing. They are a thick, soft, luxurious sheet, heavier than most so might take some people time to get used to that. But these sheets will last for years where other, cheaper sheets wear out. Also high thread count sheets get softer with age.
I purchased these sheets to fit a special made California King bed with temperpedic mattress topper. Before laundering, the sheets were loose fitting, but after being washed, the fit was one of the best ever. The fabric is very thick and appears to be quite durable. With every laundering, these sheets feel softer and softer, and this is a comfortable, cotton feel not the slick satteen feel of many sheets sold today. Although the price of these sheets was a tad bit more than I generally like to pay, I ordered another set because of the durability and softness factor. These are probably the best sheets I've purchased in many, many years.
I literally searched and search and searched the internet to try and find good quality, soft, yet cool, deep pocket sheets, I read review after review until I finally settled on these. I was a bit skeptical about what I would be getting (seeing the price difference compare to other sites) but I am soooo happy I made the decision to get these, They met every requirement I was needing. They are so soft and cool to the touch (even before washing). I have a memory foam bed topper that gets so hot in the summer so I was looking for some sheets that would stay cool without the satin feel (I hate how I tangle up in thin satin sheets). Last night was my first night sleeping with these and I can't remember a time I have ever slept so good (well not since I've had children anyways) These have the extra deep pockets and fit my pillow top Cal-king bed with my 3" memory foam pad perfectly, There is elastic all the way around so it stays on the bed all night. The color was a bit off (I ordered sage but its more of a mint green) but that doesn't really matter to me. I was buying for comfort not color. I have to stay I am so pleased with the quality and feel of these sheets. They are the perfect thickness. They definitely have quality you have to feel to believe.
I own a set of RH washed Belgian linen sheets, and have always wanted a second set, but, have never gotten because they are quite pricey. I set out on a Google search and came upon these at Overstock. I was hesitant because I doubted they would have the same soft hand as my RH sheets. Well, was I wrong! I received a few days ago, and was very pleasantly surprised; there is absolutely no difference in the soft feel and/or quality! I have since come back to order more! Thanks Overstock!
We are not fans of the sateen finish that most sheets have these days. It is really hard to find sheets that do not have the sateen finish. These sheets are exactly what we were looking for...they are super heavy and comfortable and not shiny and slippery like sateen finishes. We couldn't be happier...going to order more sets!
I finally have comfort and can sleep without my sheets ripping off my mattress. These sheets are truly comfortable, soft, deep pockets, and rich in color (purchased black). The sheets are exactly what I was hoping for considering I also purchased a mattress topper (also very comfy). Thanks Overstock, I am sleeping on cloud nine and will order another sheet set once the blue becomes available.
I've purchased several sets of these sheets over the last few years, and I really love them. We have a king bed and often sheet sets tend to be too small and come untucked during the night. These sheets, if anything, are even bigger than the "deep pockets" implies. The top sheet comes down to the bottom of the box springs, and the fitted sheet is ample enough to stay under both the mattress and box springs all night.
As far as pilling goes, I've never had a problem with that. However, I always wash them separately in cold water, on gentle cycle, with a very tiny amount of detergent, and no fabric softener! I, also, always remove them from the dryer promptly, otherwise, they will wrinkle badly. I don't blame the sheets: it the nature of the fiber.
If you follow the directions, you have a set of lovely, soft, set of sheets that should last for years. Mine have never faded, either. I have had them on my bed for six months, and I wash them every week and put them right back on.
I never iron them because I don't see the point. I might touch up the pillow cases, if I missed the dryer buzzer. But I rarely do.
All of mine are made in China.
For years I have purchased pricey "luxury" sheets from a linen warehouse store, but they can't compare to these. Soft as can be, and these really don't wrinkle much. Best of all, they truly DO fit an extra-deep mattress that is topped with a 3-inch memory foam--no more struggling with that fitted sheet! Not only are these better than what I had been using--they're also cheaper! An excellent value.
Like the one negative review says about these sheets, they are really heavy. I mean these sheets are really really heavy, for sheets. I dont see it as a negative though, they are beautiful, comfortable and the quality can be felt and seen. I would definately purchase these sheets again.
These sheets are very soft. They come in colors that work with any decor. It would be great if the pocket on the fitted was a little deeper but they do not slip off the corners. I am going to order another set.
If you have a thick pillow top mattress this will fit. They are deep as stated. I found them to have a heavier fabric than most sheets which should mean they will wear longer. They are maybe not quite the percale I remember, but they come close. They wrinkle up like percale. And have a crispness about them AFTER THEY ARE WASHED. They do take a little longer to dry because they are thicker fabric and I did not find them to shrink. I really like them and if not totally the percale I remember, they are real close and for the price that is not bad compared to other places selling what they claim as percale for much, much more. Would recommend.
Bought two of these pillowcase sets in the King size and Medium Blue color, and two sets in the King size and Sage color. The colors match the 1500 TC sheets perfectly, and are as pictured. Both Medium Blue sheets and pillowcases are a saturated medium blue color, although the Sage color is slightly less saturated than the picture on my monitor shows. Both Med Blue and Sage look very expensive and high-quality. They are large pillowcases that fit my king size pillows well, with a little room to spare. After searching for a long time, we were happy to find this sheet set. We were looking for something that was not a solid.
The price was right so we bought this set.
We've used it once. The problem is that the fitted sheet seems to pull off easily from the mattress - very little effort required. So when you wake up in the morning, you're putting the sheet back on.
Other than that, we've been happy so far.
They fit perfectly, no creeping up on the corners. I wanted sheets that felt more substantial, and these did not disappoint. It'll take a few more washes to get them as soft as I'd like. I would buy these again, especially at that great price!
When I examined the sheets I felt the material and found it to be a bit "thin" and was going to return them. I chatted with O.com and got an RMA# and even free return shipping very easily. I love Overstock.com. Then I talked to my neighbor who purchased the same sheets, examined her sheets after she had washed them and found the fabric to be soft, smooth and sturdy. So I reconsidered, washed my sheets and put them on the bed yesterday. The sheets fit my king mattress well with ample skirt on the fitted sheet. I could even add another couple of memory foam toppers to the mattress and they would still fit. The flat sheet width is not so ample, but the length is. The fabric is not "thin" as I first thought (I had only felt the pillow case). I would note that the description didn't mention that the cotton is "single ply" which I now know is a good thing from reading up on Egyptian cotton sheets on other web sites. This should be mentioned in the O.com description. I am happy with my purchase and glad I didn't return the sheets. O.com chat people are terrific and really give good customer service.
I bought these sheets hoping for durable, soft-not satin soft, but not crisp. These are perfect after about 6 washings. They are very heavy sheets. I usually sleep with just them and a light blanket and it is perfect. I don't feel like they are going to tear when I put the fitted sheet on the corner-durable. I bought the sage and the color is true. If you give them a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.
FINALLY!! Sheets that will fit on a super thick Tempur-Pedic mattress! That is a mattress that is19-20" thick. I looked all over the place, on-line and locally, and no sheet set can come close to matching this one for many reasons. I am writing this review to help everyone that is frustrated with finding a quality sheet set at a great price! First of all, the sheets are amazingly large and they wrap way under the mattress and do no move! The 500 thread count is very nice. You also get two sets of pillowcases. I bought the king sized sheet sets in two colors. When I called to inquire about color, they told me that the darker one was brown. I would more accurately describe it as a deep, rich brownish-GOLDEN color. I also got the yellow looking set and I would describe that as a lighter gold set, but much more yellow than "gold". Last of all, the price can not be beat for the quality!!
Bought these sheets in sage and think they are great. The color is what I expected. The material quality exceeded my expectations. I have the 8" Serta memory foam mattress that I bought from this site. I also have a 2" memory foam topper that I put on it. WIth the mattress and topper combined the sheets fit very well. They fit the corners very nice and they don't feel like they are about to rip as some others have. Fitted sheet fits the matress surface and corners tightly. Flat sheet is long enough to tuck deep under the footboard end of the mattress and still pull all of the way up to the top edge near the headboard. After 1st wash they were still a little too rough. After 2nd washing they had just a hint of newness / roughness. After 3rd wash they were comfortable. After 4th wash they are perfect. Definitely some of the most comfortable sheets I have slept on anywhere....ever! I don't think I would consider sheets with a lower thread count than these, especially for the insignificant difference in price compared to the several years of use that I will get out of them. Have no fear of these sheets after a few washes. Anyone that would complain about the comfortability of these sheets after washing out the newness probably has a life-long predisposition towards complaining about everything in life... those people annoy me.
Love these sheets! Lyocell sheets are hard to find and when you do, they are usually over $XXX for a set. I always get white sheets so can't say anything about the colors offered. These sheets are soft, silky, and will last a long time if taken care of properly. They wrinkle a bit but not too bad. The softness is the best and anyone who stays in my house always comments on the sheets! Worth the money!
"Superior," "Ultra-Soft," "Heavyweight" do not exaggerate this cozy, luxurious sheet set! It's hard to find a flannel (yes, it must be at least 6-oz-- a rich, heavy flannel) that one can label luxurious, but this line nailed it! Where I live in East Tennessee, we not only experience four seasons, we might get them all within one month. So, when the latest "arctic blast" swooped down on us here near the foothills of the Smokies, these sheets were a life saver. While I'm staying with my mother in her old house while she is recovering from a serious illness, I dreaded going to bed until I put these babies on my bed. Now I look forward to the softness and warmth awaiting me...
It is almost impossible to find anything made in this country, and it was one of the reasons i bought this set. Very very soft, washes well, and I wash my sheets in hot water, don't know how these will hold up, but right now I am very satisfied.
I have been on a hunt for cotton percale sheets like I remember. Most are still too limp, too soft, just not the feel I was looking for. Yes I'm one of those that is looking for 'grandmothers sheets'. I read you can't get good percale feeling with high thread count so I tried these and BINGO. I am very happy with them. Crisp, crinkly, yes they sound 'crispy' when you rumple them. I've tried sheets for 5 years up to a $ set which were limp, hot, too soft etc. I came back to order another pair, see Tommy Bahama has another set of cotton percale offering same sheet, different print choices. I've washed 3x and same size, print is cute, I am thinking about getting lifetime supply to take this important item off my frustration list forever! Yes for me they are that good.
Was amazed to find sheets for a split king (2 xltwins, king flat, king pillow cases). These are thick, smooth, wrinkle resistant, and deep. Corners stay put on adjustable twin beds. I already bought a set for each of my kids and am back to get another set for me. Great product. Sweet dreams.
I actually searched these sheets out because they came up with a "Made in America" search. Well, when they arrived the packaging no where said "Made in America", but after searching the product carefully, there it was. They were "MADE IN AMERICA" and they ROCK! I love them and they continue to get better and better with each and every wash. I loved them so much that as soon as I had them on my bed for a brief period of time, I ordered another pair. Highly recommended!!!!
Weighty and soft. Very generous pockets, fits pillow top + memory foam pad with ease. I was surprised to notice the difference in a good night's sleep.
I was very pleased to purchase a product made in the USA. I wish you would list where every item is made; That's paramount in deciding which product I want to buy. I want to help Americans keep their jobs.
Made by Home Environments, these sheets are the best bed linens I've ever owned. I now have four sets and two sets have held up extremely well after two years of regular use. The other two are newer but I expect the same. The softness is incomparable, they're durable and haven't frayed at all, they haven't shrunk after two years of washing and drying, and there is no pilling. Deep pockets fit 18" high mattress perfectly. Highly recommend this brand. I did purcahse another less expensive brand on O.com and they were horrible. Kind-size shrunk after first wash and could not be used so they went into the rag bag. This brand is definitely worth the extra money.
These beautiful sheets are sooooo silky. They are very drapable, a quality that my husband and I love. The color and satin sheen are perfect for what I wanted and do not wash out. They are light, so are perfect for warm weather, but I will use them in cool weather also. I like the fact that they are a rayon made of bamboo. They washed wonderfully and came out of the dryer pretty much unwrinkled. What a change from the 100% cotton sheets (which I also love). If you are a "cotton person" you might be a bit taken aback by the "liquid" drapability of this fabric. Very comfortable! We feel like this set is luxury itself. A great price, too. I have purchased expensive very high thread-count cotton sheets and have enjoyed them, but I LOVE THESE SHEETS, and will order more.
We first bought a set of these sheets when Overstock had them a couple years ago. After a few months of wash and wear, they became THE softest, silkiest, most decadent sheets in our arsenal of 800 tc sheets (we have several different brands). If creme brulee came in sheet form, these sheets would be it. When we saw them again on the Overstock site, of course we immediately snatched up another set. While the new sheets haven't reached the buttery softness of the first set yet, they're already softer than any of our other sheets.
The first set we bought was in the "bone" color, which we thought would be ivory but is closer to a light gold. The second set we bought was in "white," which is a good white that maybe hints a little more to the off-white side than to the blue-white side. Both sets have a nice, subtle sheen.
One thing to note: these sheets have a "good side" (unbelievably soft and luxurious, as described above) and a "bad side" (more like canvas), that each became more pronounced as the sheets were broken in. I'm guessing this was something necessary in the weave to put all of the soft part of the fiber on one side. If you get these sheets and find them rough, try turning them over!
I had never ordered these before, so i was a little apprehensive. But they turned out quite good for the price. I like the quality and look of fabric--nice and tough, just as 800 thread should feel, beautiful sheen, as expected from satin. The embroidery was slightly less than perfect: a couple of loose ends. And a little too much color for my idea of ivory.
These Euro Shams are as pictured . Nice material but they do need to be pressed which is tricky since they have a little extra fabric in the back so that they don't lie smooth. This happens when the back and front are not cut at the same time and if one side is cut slightly on the basis.
Love these pillowcases and sheets, my husband even said that these were the best we've ever had, better than the non-egyptian cotton 1200tc sheets we've had for several years. These have a crisp feel that I like, they don't get too warm like the heavier thread counts tend to.
I almost didn't buy these because I did not see a set including a photo of a bed made up. Glad I still did, they are wonderful! These came a little wrinkled, I am quickly falling in love with them. I sprayed them down with a water spray bottle and they look relaxed and luxurious. Feel is soft yet durable.
I have had these sheets for 6 months now and they have been washed at least half a dozen times. They have held up well and continue to feel soft, with little or no pilling. They are somewhat thin, but still feel sturdy enough. I have tried several inexpensive sheet sets and, for the price, these are the best ones I have found!
Worth the money. These sheets are super soft and comfortable. I always have issues with my fitted sheet staying on the mattress but not with these sheets. The haven't moved an inch since I put them on.
I love these sheets. I've had them for a month now, and they
are very soft and have held up well. There are no loose strings
pilling, or unraveling at the seams. The quality is excellent and the
color is true as described in the product description. The best part of these sheets are the stripes pattern. They make the room look even better and have a pleasant feel. Would definitely recommend these to all my friends looking to buy quality sheets this holiday season.
Can't compare to the more expensive brands, but you get what you pay for. I was looking for something not too pricey to put in my horse trailer camper. I have the expensive brand of bamboo for my home and they are also thinner feeling. That is the beauty of bamboo. Not thick or bulky and soft on your skin. If you are tough on sheets have no fear. We are super tough on them, lots of tossing and turning and dogs in the bed. Love the bamboo. These will work well for occasional use in our camper. Soft and attractive.
I'm extremely happy with the comfort of the sheets, light and soft, super comfortable. The color is fine, I don't know excited one can get about color - it's light blue, it looks like I'd expect light blue to look. My one issue is that we've gotten a couple of small tears already in the fabric. It's from our dog jumping up onto the bed, so if that's not a possibility in your home due to doglessness, no reservations on these sheets, go for it. We've had plenty of sheets before that the dog has jumped on many, many, many times, despite my repeated requests to her to not do so, and those other random fitted sheets didn't develop holes in under a month of use, so I'd caution about the durability of these, especially if you have pets that can not stay off the bed.
I really like these sheets. They're soft, with a somewhat silky feel, which I love. Tencel is supposed to be moisture wicking and sleep cool, and I have definitely stopped waking up every night drenched in sweat, so it must be working. The sheets are durable too. They've held up even after months of being the only sheets I use. (Gross, I know. I need to get another set.) The color is still good, I got Ivory, and they're still as comfortable as they were when I bought them. If you like a smoother feel to your sheets and like to sleep cool, you can't do better than these.
The Echelon Euro Shams comes with a five (5) star rank. I've had this set in white for over a year. Unlike other shams having the envelope style of opening these have hidden zippers so they can truly be reversed to the other side. There're holding just a fine as the day I first used them. I would definitely recommend them!
I've used them only 2 days...fabric soft & comfortable...however,I ordered this set in burgundy,,sheets are a light pink/grey. The packaging says 'burgundy'& visual description from which I ordered shows the dark reddish color I wanted. Couldn't deal with the hassle of return,so I've tried to hide the mistake color under a comforter set....won't fly when I need to 'dress' the bed when company comes..........
I have some of the Malouf 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets that I use on my king-sized bed. I love them, because they are soft, durable, and of a medium weight. The weight falls between Malouf's light microfiber sheets and their heavy Portuguese flannel sheets. They are great for me, because I like a somewhat heavy sheet in the winter. The 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets are on my queen-sized bed right now. They are wonderful sheets as well. I wanted to explain the 600 thread count sheets to you so that I could point out the differences if you are trying to decide between the two. Whereas the 600 thread count sheets are a medium weight sheet, the 400 thread count sheets are what I would call a "light-to-medium" weight sheet. They are not as light as microfiber sheets, and not as heavy as the 600 thread count sheets. Because they have fewer threads than the 600 thread count sheets, they are more supple (the 600 thread count version is a little on the stiffer side). For this reason, I prefer the 600 thread count sheet during the cold winter months, and the 400 thread count sheet in the warmer months. If you tend to sleep hot, even during the winter, then the 400 thread count sheet would be preferable. Both are very high quality, soft, comfortable, and durable. I really like the gray color that we purchased as well. It has a soft, expensive look to it. I can recommend this sheet without reservation.
Love the thickness of the flannel, and the extra deep pockets of fitted sheets fit my mattress perfectly.
I have purchased other flannel sheet sets elsewhere in the past for my queen bed and found that the flat sheet doesn't have enough overhand to even cover the mattress, and the fitted sheet pockets where so shallow that as soon as my husband and I got into bed the corners had slipped off. Not with this purchase. And the pattern is beautiful. Goes with lots of different bedding pieces for a pleasant mix and match.
Ive never used modal sheets before so I thought give them a try. These sheets are great! They are very, very soft and comfortable. A great buy! Ive washed them a few times, colors are holding up well.
I'm giving these a 5 stars because I think the more I wash them, the softer they will become. I bought the cameo, which is a blush pink color. The color is gorgeous but arent as soft as I had hoped. I think over time, they'll be perfect!
I received these the other day & just got around to washing them today. They washed up just beautifully, as I expected. Let me explain "why" I expected this even though this is my very first purchase of these sheets....
I purchased "Beech" sheets @ Bed Bath & Beyond and I was EXTREMELY IN LOVE!!!! with these sheets, however, after approximately a years worth of weekly washing they started to shred ;( I will assume some blame in this as you're not supposed to wash them with harsh detergent or color safe bleach and I did. So, I went back to BB&B to repurchase and learned they were gone/clearance (in sizes or colors I didn't want). Found these on Overstock with Beech in the name so I took a chance and they're just like them - Awesome!
